Dry, brittle and frizzy hair? Here are two products that will fix everything.
I’ve been dying my hair since I was about 12 years old including bleaching it a few times and it’s probably been just about every colour that there is, so 10 years on it’s safe to say that my hair isn’t in the best of conditions. I got asked if I would like to review these two goodies from Ogario London recently and of course I jumped at the chance to try something to tame my frizzy brittle hair. I don’t really buy much when it comes to hair products even though I probably should, but if I can find something that will improve the condition of my hair then I’m all for it. I’ve been using these two products for the past couple of weeks and I have noticed such a change in my hair, it’s no longer as frizzy as it once was, it looks a lot healthier, and it’s just generally looking like it’s in a far better condition than it was before.
Ogario London Hydrate & Shine Shampoo* | £16.50
“Developed to soften, protect colour and put moisture back into dry hair.”
This shampoo has really helped my dry hair out, it feels so much nicer when I’m styling it compared to before, I’ve also noticed a lot less breakage when I’m brushing it. I’m not even kidding, before whenever I pulled my hairbrush through my hair, I would literally be covered in hair breakage, but now there’s hardly a hair in sight. My hair is quite long but is so thin because of all the damage and breakage and ever since I started using this shampoo, it actually feels like it has volume again! A little goes a long way so even though it’s on the pricier side for a shampoo, it will end up lasting a while. It does have a smell that reminds me of something quite medicinal, a bit like what head lice treatment smelled like when I was younger so that’s not one of the better perks of this shampoo. But I can learn to get over that when I only wash my hair every other day and the benefits outweigh the small negative. Overall it’s a really good product and I’m impressed!
Ogario London Hydrate & Shine Conditioner* | £18.50
“Developed to protect colour and leave hair feeling soft, smooth and glossy.”
A good conditioner to me is one that leaves my hair topper feeling silky smooth afterwards and makes brushing through wet hair an absolute breeze. This conditioner does exactly that and smells gorgeous. The scent of the conditioner is nothing like the shampoo, it’s made with Tamarind and Marshmallow which sounds quite heavenly and sweet, but I actually find it has a really citrus scent to it. I love it though, if you’ve used the Ogario Restore & Shine Hair Masque, you’ll find it’s a bit similar to that sort of scent. My hair is naturally wavy and frizzy and I wake up with it in a mess regardless of whether I have washed it or not. I find that this conditioner really helps to tame it and it’s not been as much of a mess when I’ve gone to straighten and style it on a morning. I don’t think I’ll ever find a product that means I can go without straightening my hair because it really is like a mane but it’s a miracle to find something that means I can spend less time straightening it and getting rid of all the frizz. I can’t use shampoo without conditioner as my hair is very prone to breakage, so this makes it the perfect duo!I’ve tried three different products from Ogario now and I’ve been impressed with them all. Like I said, I don’t really spend money on hair products but it’s been so lovely to actually try some out and find that they’ve helped the condition of my hair loads. I really think these are worth the cost if your hair is in a very unhealthy state like mine used to be.
Another great product, especially for those with young families is this head lice treatment. Nothing worse than when your littles bring home nasty nits from school, and this one is great.
If you have any other recommendations for products that might help my hair out, please let me know! 🙂
