Five Glow Getters: Five products to give you gorgeous glowing skin…
It’s no secret that I’m obsessed with glow getters; aka highlighters, although I tend to invest in ones that I know I’ll get a lot of use out of and ones that will suit my skin tone. As much as I would love to own products like the ABH glow palettes, I don’t splurge on them because there’s only one or two shades that I know I would use in them. So instead I spend my money on mostly singular products and it’s safe to say they all get their equal amount of use! These are my five favourites at the moment that are always on rotation in my daily makeup routine.

Becca Moonstone, NARS Unlawful, NARS Copacabana, MAC Soft & Gentle.
Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed: Moonstone | £32.00
Becca Moonstone is a pale gold highlighter and it’s my absolute fave. I have a yellow undertone to my skin so me & Moonstone are literally a match made in heaven and it gives me such a gorgeous natural looking glow. I can go subtle with it if I want to, although with a very light hand as it’s so so pigmented, or I can pile it on so that I look like a walking glow stick (which is obv what I do). This will always be my go-to highlight and I actually need to add more Becca shades to my collection because they’re the besttttt.
NARS Blush: Unlawful | £23.00
This pick is actually a blush and not specifically a highlighter but if you’ve read a few of my recent posts, I’ve gone on about how much I love this purely because it adds colour to the cheeks as well as giving the cheeks a lovely glow. It’s so perfect for a rushed morning because I can brush on this beautiful golden peach to give myself a more ‘alive’ look but it also gives me gorgeous glowing skin.
NARS Illuminator: Copacabana | £23.00
I’m not a fan of liquid/cream highlighters at all, purely because they just don’t work on my skin over my foundation, however, I’ve been really loving mixing NARS Copacabana with my foundations. I’ve been mixing it with my drugstore ones in particular, just so that I get that really pretty dewy finish. It’s such a gorgeous product to own and it gives such a natural glow to the cheeks when used alone, I sometimes dab a bit over the tops of my cheekbones when I’m not wearing any makeup just to look a bit less dull.
MAC Mineralize Skinfinish: Soft & Gentle | £24.00
Mac’s Soft & Gentle is a pretty old one, I know I’m new to the scene with it but I can honestly say it lives up to the hype. Just look at that swatch above? It’s so bloody gorgeous. It’s a peach toned highlight with a frosted sheen and I just absolutely love it. I didn’t think anything would ever replace my Becca highlighter but lately I’ve been using this so much more. I think I’ll do a look with this soon to show anyone that hasn’t already got it, just how pretty it really is!

Freedom Pro Blush Palette: Bronze Baked | £6.00
And last but not least, for a more affordable option, there’s the Freedom Bronze Baked Palette. This is a new addition to my makeup stash but I’m pretty obsessed with it already. I mean it’s six pounds and just look at how pigmented those shades are above, they’re insane. I mean a couple of them could even be dupes for my high end highlighters, they aren’t far off are they? I did a short review of it in my drugstore favourites post recently but here I’ve swatched just the highlight shades alone, they’re so so pretty. I absolutely love this palette for a drugstore option and I definitely think it’s worth picking up!
