The five products that I reach for on a rushed morning to look a little more alive…
I love sitting and spending hours playing with makeup as much as the next girl but when you’re in a rush on a morning or have a baby it’s just not realistic. What I need is a small selection of go-to products that I can rely on and that are effortless & easy to put together. Here are the five that have been my hero products lately!
NARS All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation // £34.00
I use this foundation in the lightest shade, Siberia and it’s just my absolute fave. I used to be all about Estee Lauder’s Double Wear, which I still love, but this has replaced it as my holy grail. It does everything I need it to if I’m in a real hurry. It gives me really good coverage, covering up all of my redness, blemishes and even my under eye circles if I don’t have time for concealer. Not only that but it also gives me a gorgeous dewy finish and just makes my skin look really flawless therefore leaving me looking not so deadly!
NARS Unfiltered Blush Palette II // £45.00
You’ll have to get used to me mentioning this palette all of the time because I am just so obsessed with it! It has everything I need in a blush palette, covering all moods and seasons. It’s perfect for an easy go-to as it has gorgeous pink tones in to add some colour to my cheeks as well as some shimmery shades that can also add some highlight to my cheek bones. You really can’t go wrong with this palette, it would be even more fantastic if it came with an additional contour shade!
New Look Brush On Brows Fibre Gel // £4.99
My new holy grail brow product, ahhhh this stuff is just amazing. It’s far more affordable than the likes of Benefit Gimme Brow yet has the same dinky spoolie and gives such good results. No time to fill in your brows? No problem, as this little gem darkens the brows, brushes the hairs in place and makes them look fuller in seconds. I definitely couldn’t be without this now!
Maybelline Colour Tattoo: On & On Bronze // £4.99
I’ve never been one for applying anything to my eyes with my finger, or swiping on one shade and that’s it. I’ve always, always insisted on using brushes and multiple shadows to get the look I want, but lately I’ve realised it’s just not ideal. I never have the time for all that jazz anymore, especially with a small baba that barely gives me half an hour to get ready! So, in a bid to try and reduce my makeup routine, I have started swiping on shadows to my lid just to add a little something to my eyes. I usually either go for a champagne pink or a bronze, and I’ve been loving this cream shadow as it also doesn’t require an eyeshadow primer making it really easy to wear.
Colorful Headband wigs // £79.50
If you hadn’t already heard, all of my lash extensions came off after two weeks, so I can no longer skip the mascara part of my routine. Therefore, it’s essential that I apply mascara on a morning, otherwise I will look so bloody strange as you just can’t see my lashes without it. Roller Lash is my holy grail as it lengthens my lashes as well as giving them some volume and helping them to hold somewhat of a curl. I think mascara is an everyday essential to every girl to be honest, it just seems to complete any makeup look!
