Welcome to the contents of my everyday makeup bag…
I’ve never really been able to fit my everyday makeup products into an actual makeup bag, it’s always consisted of eyeshadow palettes and other things that generally don’t fit into one. However, lately I’ve started to use a collection of products that actually fit into one which is fab. I still use quite a lot of beauty products, I just tend to reach for smaller and easier go-to items. So here’s everything in my current everyday makeup bag!
Rimmel Stay Matte Primer // £5.99
I think this has been discontinued but I’m still using up my stock of it, I really don’t know why they discontinued it as it’s the best primer I’ve ever used to control oil! I’ll have to find one that works just as well when my stash runs out but for now this is my go-to primer for the hot weather.
L’Oreal True Match Foundation // £9.99
True Match has been my everyday go-to foundation for absolutely ages now, it’s just the best. It’s matte so that it controls my oily areas all day, but not overly matte so that it accentuates any of my dry areas. I don’t even use a primer with this half of the time and I still barely get oily, it’s such a fab foundation like honestly. I thought I would hate the new formula of this too but it’s just as good as the old one if not better!
Rimmel Stay Matte Powder // £3.99
I think everyone knows about this powder by now, it’s another amazing drugstore product – especially for the price. I’ve never felt the need to try out any high end powders since purchasing this years ago as it just does the job perfectly. It sets all of my makeup, keeps it in place, and most importantly, controls my oiliness in the T-Zone area!
Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer // £19.00
I used to prefer the NARS concealer to the UD one but now I’ve completely changed my mind. For everyday wear, this covers all of my redness, blemishes and dark under eye circles with one swipe. It’s just so creamy and blendable whilst giving such good coverage, I can’t be without it.
Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion in Eden // £16.00
I can never go without priming my lids, even if I’m having a no makeup, makeup day because they’re so veiny and they get so oily too! My go-to has been the UD Eyeshadow Primer Potion for years but I’ve recently converted from the original to eden as it has a yellow tone that looks like a concealer which I love.
Kevyn Aucoin Sculpting Powder // £35.00
One of my new can’t live without products has to be the Kevyn Aucoin Sculpting Powder. You’ll probably hear me mention this all of the time now as I absolutely loooove it. It’s just so fab for contouring my pale non-existent cheekbones, plus it’s a lovely compact size to fit into my makeup bag.
NARS Blush in Unlawful // £23.00
The NARS Blush in Unlawful is one of my all time favourite blushes, it’s such a beautiful shade. It adds a flush of peachy-pink to the cheeks as well as giving a subtle glow. I always reach for this when I’m just applying a bit of concealer for my base and that’s it just to give my face some colour back. It’s ideal for my makeup bag as my other go-to is my NARS blush palette and a single is much smaller
New Look Brush on Brows Fibre Brow Gel // £4.99
I can’t be without a brow gel on a daily basis and my current favourite is the New Look Fibre Brow Gel. I’ve mentioned this a lot recently but it comes with a tiny little brush that’s perfect for getting into those sparse gaps in your brows and it just adds so much colour and fullness. It’s great for use with and without other brow products!
Freedom Brow Pomade // £5.00
Brow pomades are my go-to eyebrow product and my fave at the moment is the Freedom one. This one quickly replaced my NYX one as I find the consistency to be much more creamy and long-lasting.
Rimmel Lasting Finish Concealer // £5.49
I always find a concealer to be handy when I do my makeup, just for extra coverage on any spots that may appear or to clean up my brows or lipstick. I used to reach for the MAC Studio Finish Concealer everyday but ever since finding this Rimmel dupe, I now always use this. It’s just so creamy, has amazing coverage, and it lasts forever! It’s one of the very few drugstore concealers that come in such light shades too.
Jouer Powder Highlight in Rose Quartz // £19.00
My current favourite highlighter is Rose Quartz by Jouer, nothing beats it for me at the moment! It adds so much glow to my cheeks which is something I love and it’s just so pigmented and creamy!
Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara // £7.99
I have a love/hate relationship with Maybelline Lash Sensational. When my lashes were shorter, it could be far too clumpy for them, but ever since I started using Revitalash and my lashes have grown, I’ve found that it just gives them the most amazing volume and length! I’ve been loving it lately and it’s definitely become a favourite of mine.
Charlotte Tilbury Lipstick in Pillow Talk // £24.00
Everyone and their dog has been raving about CT’s Pillow Talk and I couldn’t really see the hype until I won it in a giveaway. It’s such a beautiful pinky nude for everyday wear that I’ve been loving. Everyone calls it a nude, however it is quite dark against my pale skin but I think that’s why I love it so much. It’s just so easy to wear whilst giving me a really put together look!
