A classic accessory that pairs perfectly with any outfit…
I don’t post much on fashion, however, recently I’ve really started to get into it more. I think ever since I got pregnant last year and I stopped being able to wear most of my clothes, I just got out of my interest for fashion and things and it hasn’t really come back until now. I had the biggest bump going (deffo looked like I was having twins) so I went through last summer living in pyjamas and my dads t-shirts. After I had Reuben, I had lost a lot of the weight I put on but I was still “thicker” in most areas of my body, especially my hips & thighs. I also naturally had the dreaded mum tum, so I wasn’t able to wear most of my old clothes for months. I’m now pretty much back into my old wardrobe except for the hundreds of crop tops I used to wear – they’re long gone. Anyway, my point is that it’s taken over half a year but I’ve slowly started to like fashion again and I’ve also kind of developed a new style which I’d say is a bit more grown up. This is probably down to me being a mama and naturally having to grow up a lot more, but even my taste in accessories has matured. I do still live in my Topshop joni jeans, that hasn’t changed at all!
I stopped bothering with jewellery for so long but I’ve really started to take an interest in it again, my favourite things to wear at the moment are chokers and watches. Which brings me to the main element of this post, which is this brand new watch Bondi from the Daniel Wellington Classic Petite range. I was kindly sent this to review and I’ve been obsessed with it ever since it arrived. It’s so so gorgeous. I’ve always loved watches with white straps so the style of this is absolutely perfect for me. I also have it in rose gold (obvs) and it’s just stunning. It’s such a classic, simple piece that fits perfectly with any outfit that I wear, from being dressed up to dressed down. I used to have another favourite watch but I found that it didn’t go with everything I wore due to it being quite an ‘obvious’ piece surrounded by diamantes and things. This one from DW is so much more elegant and I also feel like it’s a very grown up accessory too.
It completely suits my new matured style – does anyone else have accessories or outfits where they’re like “yeah look at me, I’m a grown up” when they wear them?! It sounds so stupid but I do feel more mature when I wear a nice grown up outfit compared to when I’m at home all day in my comfy clothes. This watch is just the ideal addition to any nice outfit and it’s an effortless piece to just throw on which instantly makes you look more put together. The fact that it’s in rose gold is even better for me as most of my other jewellery is also rose gold which means I can chuck on loads of accessories and they’ll all pair really well. My favourite accessory to pair with the watch is my rose gold bracelet with Reuben’s name on – so cute π
It’s a key piece in my collection now that I will always reach for as it compliments everything I wear so well.
