A few of my summer beauty must haves this year…

I love switching up my everyday makeup and beauty routine when the seasons change and today I’m sharing a few things that I’m loving at the moment. These products are all perfect for summer (sunshine or no sunshine) to get you that gorgeous bronzed summer glow that we all love! A couple of products are new to my collection and others are ones I’ve had for ages and absolutely love so today I’m going to share my favourites.

*Rimmel Radiance Shimmer Brick // £5.99

I love to have bronzed skin during summer and this shimmer brick from Rimmel has been giving me life. It adds such a beautiful warmth to my cheeks and gives me a really healthy glow. I’ve been reaching for this everyday since I got it, it’s a new fave!

*NARS Contour Duo in Paloma // £32.00
This contour duo from NARS is a new addition to my collection but a very welcomed one. I do find the contour shade to be a bit warm toned but that doesn’t matter too much when I’m tanned. It’s another one that adds a lovely warmth to my cheeks and I love using the highlight shade to tidy it up with!

NARS Velvet Matte Skin Tint in Finland // £30.00
For a light summer base, I’ve been reaching for the NARS velvet matte skin tint foundation which can be applied for light coverage or built up for more coverage. I love this during summer because I sometimes feel like a very light base if it’s a really hot day but if I’m suffering with a lot of redness and I’m having a breakout, I like to add more to cover up those areas. It’s such a lightweight foundation as well which is perfect for those hot days when you don’t want to feel like you’ve got loads of makeup on. The finish is semi-matte so it doesn’t accentuate my oily areas but still has a slightly dewy finish on me!

Mac Mineralize Skinfinish in Soft & Gentle // £24.50
Highlighter is a must have for me all year round, but in summer I particularly like to look all healthy and glowy. The highlight that I’ve been reaching for most lately is MAC Soft & Gentle and I’m just so obsessed with it, I love that this is another buildable product and I can have a nice natural glow or go ham and look glowy for days! It really compliments my pale skin as well as my tanned skin too.

Jouer Lip Topper in Skinny Dip // £13.50
I’m not usually one for glosses but I feel like a “glowy lip” looks really lovely during the summer months. My lipgloss selection is so minuscule but the Jouer Lip Topper in Skinny Dip is such a must have, it looks absolutely beautiful on top of every lipstick I own!

*Rimmel Sunshimmer Instant Tan in Medium Matte // £6.99
Most of my foundations are pale in tone and ever since I started fake tanning, they’re all far too light. I do like to tan my face but with makeup application and cleansing twice a day, it wears off so quickly (basically instantly lol) so a product I reach for pretty much everyday is an instant tan. I like to put some foundation on the back of my hand and then add a dollop of instant tan and mix it in, it gives me the perfect shade every time. I love that I can do this too so that I don’t need to buy foundations in shades that I will only be able to wear when tanned, it saves so much money! The Rimmel instant tan is the one that I reach for every single day and I absolutely love it. I don’t use that much either so a large tube like this will last me absolutely ages.

*YSL Black Opium Floral Shock Eau de Parfum // £48.50
My new favourite summer scent has to be the YSL Black Opium Floral Shock fragrance, it smells incredible. I’ve seen everyone raving about this for absolutely ages but it’s not until recently that I’ve tried it out for myself and now I can see what all the hype is about. I love sweet & floral scents and I’ve been addicted to this one!
