When the weather gets colder, there’s nothing better than getting cosy with scented candles & a hot bubble bath so here’s a few of my favourite treats…
I think like most bloggers, Autumn is my favourite time of year because all the shops are full to the brim of scented candles and bath bombs. I love cosy jumpers, hydrating face masks, scented candles & beautiful bubble bars. Recently I’ve been indulging in all gorgeous scented things due to feeling a bit down and now full of cold! There’s nothing like a good pamper to help you feel a bit better, especially when poorly. I’m going to share my current favourites and the products that I really recommend picking up this year.
Sparkly Pumpkin Bubble Bar // £4.25
I’ll start with the most Autumnal product of all, and that’s the sparkly pumpkin bubble bar from Lush. I’ve actually never had this before but this year I was desperate to have it, I mean look at it, it’s so pretty and glittery! It’s definitely a messy product and requires a lot of cleaning up if you want to include it in your flat lays, but boy does it smell gooooood. It gives me a bright orange bath with lots of bubbles and leaves me with a lovely citrus scent post bath. I think I’ve mentioned this before but I much prefer bubble bars to bath bombs from Lush as I feel that I get far more value for my money since I can get at least a handful of baths out of them opposed to one bath from a bath bomb. I am going to be picking up a few of the sparkly pumpkins every year from now on, what a dream.
Magic Wand Bubble Bar // £5.95
Another bubble bar I absolutely love is the magic wand, I have had this a few times now and it’s just so photogenic like how can you not get this?! Not only does it make all my Christmas flat lays look beautiful, but it has the snow fairy scent which is one of my faves. It gives me the prettiest pink bath full of bubbly goodness and I can’t get enough!
Antipodes Aura Manuka Honey Mask // £24.99
If you suffer with dehydrated skin during winter then I highly recommend this mask, it leaves my skin feeling so supple afterwards and is the perfect skincare treat at this time of year. It sits on the skin so nicely after applied too, you practically can’t feel it. I have been so tempted to sleep in this a few times just because it feels like I’ve applied moisturiser and I can imagine I’d wake up with beautifully soft skin. In fact I think I might…
Nuxe Reve de Miel Lip Balm // £9.50
After lusting after this lip balm for quiteeeee a while, I finally got it and I have been obsessed with it ever since. I apply it every day and it has been a life saver since the weather got colder. I suffer with really dry lips anyway so you can imagine how badly I suffer during winter time. It just sits so nicely on my lips without being one of those really glossy/oily lip balms. It’s quite thick as well so I hardly need to use any and I’m still left with beautifully supple lips! It has a citrus scent which is so nice and it basically just ticks all the boxes for me. I bought mine quite a while ago now and it’s still going strong, I’m definitely repurchasing it again and again and again.
Wickford & Co Gingerbread Candle // £2.99
If you follow me on Instagram, you may have seen me buy about 10 of these candles a while ago. My mum bought me a mini one last Christmas and I was absolutely obsessed with it so I tried to hunt down the large version and nowhere had it. This year, as soon as Home Bargains started stocking it again, I just had to go crazy and make sure I had a good stash of it so it didn’t happen again. I have got these all around my house and I just can’t get enough of the scent. It sounds so over the top but it’s honestly the strongest scented candle I’ve ever had, even over brands like Yankee and it’s £2.99!!! The large jars burn for hours and hours, I leave mine burning all day and it barely looks touched. I honestly recommend you get your mitts on one (or lots) of these.
Lemon Poppyseed Candle // £16.00
This is one of my favourite scented candles that I have, it’s a bit more expensive than the gingerbread bargain but you get a gorgeous jar to go with it. The lemon poppyseed scent makes my entire house smell like lemon cheesecake and I can’t get enough of it. I don’t light this one as often as I’d like to, just because I don’t want to waste it, but it definitely burns for hours & hours as I got mine months ago and it’s still going strong!
