Feel Unique have brought out a beauty box that contains a selection of hand picked beauty products, here are my thoughts…
Beauty boxes are quite a big thing amongst the blogosphere these days, every brand seems to be bringing one out. Feel Unique have jumped on the bandwagon and brought out their very own which features a selection of their favourite beauty bits, all hand picked by themselves. The box costs £28 and you receive 7 products altogether which amounts to around the £80 mark, so it’s definitely a steal! There’s also a 15% off code that comes with the box which can be spent on the brands included, so if you love any of the products in particular, you can stock up on them. Here’s a breakdown of the products that are included in this box…
Nude by Nature Translucent Loose Finishing Powder // £22.00
I’ve never invested in a loose powder but I’ve had the Laura Mercier one on my wish list for quite some time and I hoped the Nude by Nature Powder would be as good as I’ve heard the LM Powder to be. You receive the full size of this and I can honestly say that I haven’t put this down since I started using it, it’s so good at setting my under eye concealer which is so prone to creasing constantly throughout the day. I have a constant battle with covering my dark under eye circles because I have really dry skin and it can look so horrible and caked but at the same time it constantly creases. This powder has been amazing at setting it without making it overly dry and cakey and I’m just in love with the finish it gives me. No other powder has worked like this one has and a tiny bit goes such a long way. I can see this lasting me ages and I would highly recommend it!
Laura Geller Spackle Hydrating Makeup Primer // £25.00
Another full sized product you get is this Laura Geller makeup primer. I’ve never used a Laura Geller primer before but I was really intrigued to see if I would like this one, especially as I have super dry skin at the moment and it’s a hydrating one. It makes my skin feel like velvet and I honestly think it’s a must have at this time of year when the skin becomes a lot drier. It smooths out all of my imperfections whilst leaving me with a lovely soft base for makeup application, a little bit goes such a long way too!
Caudalie Premier Cru Eye Cream // £49.00
I’ve tried a couple of things from Caudalie before and it was nice to receive something new to try. This is only a sample size but I always feel like sample sized eye creams last ages so it’s definitely a lovely addition to the box. I have used this a couple of times and it’s really hydrated my under eye area so I can see it being used up quite fast now that the weather is colder. I will let you know if I decide to purchase the full size!
PHB Ethical Beauty Eye Liner Pencil // £8.95
Another full sized product included is this eyeliner from PHB. I’ve never heard of this brand before but I use a black eyeliner pencil on a daily basis when doing my makeup so a new one to try is always welcomed. So far so good with this one, it’s super soft and glides on like a dream.
Bourjois Rouge Edition Souffle de Velvet in Coquelic’oh! // £8.99
A full size of this Bourjois lipstick is included in the box which is another great addition, I do really like Bourjois products, however this lipstick really isn’t a shade that I would wear or feel comfortable wearing. I am quite tempted to pick up this up in a different shade though because I’ve heard really good things and a few of the other shades look right up my street!
Pro Hygiene Antibacterial Makeup Spray // £15.00
Another sample size included is this Pro Hygiene Antibacterial Spray which is for use on products like makeup brushes to kill bacteria. I honestly think the idea of this is brilliant, especially for someone like me who rarely washes her makeup brushes. I don’t even do it on purpose, I just constantly forget or don’t find the time. Not washing your brushes can be one of the main causes of spreading breakouts everywhere so something as simple as an antibacterial spray specifically for makeup brushes is absolutely genius! I must admit I am not a fan of the smell of this but I guess if I spray it all over my brushes, leave them to dry and then come back that won’t bother me at all. I’m a little disappointed this isn’t a full size but I’m very tempted to purchase a larger bottle.
Elizabeth Arden Lasting Impression Mascara // £22.00
The final product included in the box is a sample sized version of the Elizabeth Arden Lasting Impression Mascara. I’ve only tried this out a couple of times but I was really impressed with how much volume it gave my lashes. I generally find that I don’t get to test out the full benefits of a mascara with a sample size, but since I do like this one so far, I think I would be tempted to buy the full size if I needed a new mascara!
So that’s everything included in the Feel Unique beauty box, I honestly think you get a really good deal considering all of the different brands that are included. I think it’s worth the price tag for the setting powder & hydrating primer alone but you get so many more goodies too. What I love about decent beauty boxes like this one is that you get to try out loads of products that you probably would never have come across or bought, so they’re such a great way to test out new brands. If you fancy saving yourself some money and grabbing this box of goodies, you can purchase it from the Feel Unique website here.
