We’re fully in Christmas season now, the lights are on everywhere, most people have their trees up and I’m sure many of you have some festive parties planned…
So what better post to do than some beauty products that are perfect for them?! Today I’m going to share my top festive picks for the party season. I could probably think of loads more beauty products perfect for Christmas, and I have even more on the way after my Black Friday shopping – so you may see more party picks from me yet… But for now, here are some of my favourites!
Charlotte Tilbury Wonderglow // £38.50
I recently got a miniature wonderglow, and my goodness have I fallen in love! It’s such a beautiful primer to use underneath makeup, helping it to apply so smoothly. It blurs my imperfections whilst making my skin glow and it brightens up my complexion completely. It’s glowy without being glittery and I’m just absolutely loving it at the moment. If you want that festive glow to your makeup then I highly recommend this one, you can also use it on top of your foundation on the tops of your cheekbones if you want it to pop even more! I usually use multiple primers to achieve a smooth and glowy finish, but this one has it all in one.
NARS Illuminator in Copacabana // £23.00
Whilst I love mixing Copacabana with my foundation for a subtle glow, when it comes to the party season – it’s perfect for using alone to give you a mega glow. I sometimes struggle with liquid products lifting off my foundation but since my skin has become a lot drier I don’t tend to struggle as much as before. Dabbling a teeny dot of this along the tops of my cheek bones, down the bridge of my nose and on my cupids bow gives me such a beautiful glow. It’s so pigmented that you hardly need to use any and I’m very tempted to pick this up in other shades!
Urban Decay Heavy Metals Palette // £43.00
One of my new obsessions is this eyeshadow palette from UD. If there’s one palette that’s party perfect – it’s this one. The shades are so pigmented and creamy, they give you the best pop of shimmer all over the centre of your lid. I realise that this palette is quite bulky but for me, it just sits in my eyeshadow drawer so it doesn’t bother me in the slightest. The pigmentation of the eyeshadows is completely worth it, I highly recommend you try and swatch it in store so you can see for yourself. You get the best of both worlds with this palette, you have the bronze/gold/copper tones on one side and the vivid blues and purples on the other. We all love a pop of colour during party season don’t we?! I cannot recommend this palette any more if you are a fellow eyeshadow lover like me!
Freedom Pro Blush Palette // £6.00
I thought that I would throw a more affordable option into this post, and that’s this palette from Freedom. I’ve had this for a while now and I still absolutely love it. The shades in it are so pigmented for how affordable it is and the highlighters are out of this world. If you want to really glow this Christmas then I highly recommend picking this bad boy up – I reach for this a lot when I want a fab glow without using my more expensive products. The bronzers are such nice shades too!
Makeup Revolution Eye Foil in Rose Gold // £9.99
For some reason it seems like MR have discontinued their eye foils – but why?! Mine in the shade rose gold is still going strong and I reach for it whenever I want a super glowy inner corner. It’s such a beautiful cream shadow to brighten up the inner corners of the eyes, I don’t have anything else as pigmented. Whenever I do a glam makeup look, I reach for this every time without fail so it’s well worth picking up. You can still get it from places like amazon, it’s just a little more expensive.
Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Lipstick in Bond Girl // £24.00
It’s no secret that Charlotte Tilbury lipsticks are my all time faves, the formula is just perfect. I love a matte lipstick that’s creamy and hydrating and CT provide me with exactly that! Last Christmas I picked up the shade Bond Girl and a year later I’m still obsessed with it. It’s the perfect festive berry shade without being barely there or in your face. The fact that the formula is so creamy is ideal for all the Christmas parties where you’re sure to be indulging in all the party puddings. It lifts without leaving a line around your lips and drying them out, and it’s so easy to apply – I can usually do it without looking!
Esqido Lashes in Desire // £24.95
It wouldn’t be a party without false lashes now would it? My new favourite lashes are these ones from Esqido, they’re so luxe and wispy that they blend in seamlessly with my natural lashes. I can’t recommend them enough if you like false lashes that look more on the realistic side. Plus the white & rose gold packaging that they come in is so beautiful!
So those are my top party picks for the festive season – let me know the products that you love using at this time of year! 🙂
