A few spring goals...
There's quite a few things I'd like to tick off my list this season and what better way to motivate myself than to share it on my blog right? Spring is one of my favourite seasons, along with Autumn. Both times of the year are filled with the most gorgeous colours and we have that not-too-hot but not-too-cold perfect temperature in the air. Love. Here's a few of the goals I want to achieve...
Capturing The Florals
Springtime brings with it alllll of the pretty florals and colours, not only outdoors but in the shops all of the gorge bouquets of flowers (including my faves, peonies) start arriving! I'm all about a photo full of fresh blooms, not just in my flat lays but when capturing snapshots of Ru when we're out and about too. There's so many beautiful spots full of colour near where I live and I'm making it my goal to visit at least a handful of them and get some pretty snaps over the next few weeks.
Have A Declutter
Is it even spring without a spring clean? It's amazing how much clutter you can gather even shortly after having a massive clear out like I did! I want to sort through Ru's toys and make room for some new bits, and put away my winter clothes to make more room for my summery bits. I've already started by getting rid of loads of clothes that don't fit Reuben anymore, as well as binning old things of mine that never get worn anymore. We struggle for space as it is living at my parents so I have much more resilience when it comes to chucking stuff out these days. It feels like 5 minutes since I had a skincare & makeup clear out but I'm definitely overdue another already. All of my drawers are such a mess, I can't wait to have a tidy! You can also sort through all of your electronics and get rid of some of them by recycling old iPads, phones, laptops - whatever you've got just lying around taking up space.
Book A Summer Holiday
I mentioned this before but I want to book a couple of days abroad for Ru and I, I'm off on a little city break to Krakow but I'd love a proper beach holiday as I haven't had one in forever. I'm not fussy on where to go, as long as it's buggy friendly (I think the Italy coast is gonna have to wait!) as Ru likes to be carried a lot, but he's heavy and on my own it's too much. I also can't wait to take Ru on his first plane journey either. I keep seeing super cheap flights on the Hitlist app but they're all the same week I go to Krakow so I'm going to have to wait until I come back to keep checking. I'll probably end up getting a last minute deal as the best deals seem to be within days! Hoping I manage to book something this month.
Have A Night Down South
There's still so many places on my bucket list to explore down south but I keep putting it off as I did so much driving to Edinburgh and I'm just not ready for it again! It's not even that bad really, most places are about 4 hours which is nothing with a break in between. I need to get over it and book a travel lodge or something, we only need a one night stay to explore somewhere, possibly two.
Visit The Beach More
To say we live 10 mins away from the beach, I can't believe how little we go! Our visit to a cute little coastal village the other day has really made me want to visit the beach more. There's so many different beaches where we live and some of them are dead quiet so they're perfect to let Ru run wild and have a splash in the sea. There's a couple that have gorgeous forestry walks down to them too so lots of pretty photo opportunities.
Take Ru Flight Watching
As a kid we went to the airport to watch planes fly and I keep thinking how Ru would absolutely love that. Our nearest airport is over an hour away but it would make for a nice day out. Going to watch some planes taking off and then going out for lunch or something afterwards. He's obsessed with spotting planes & helicopters in the sky so I can just imagine his little face when I get round to taking him to the airport!
Do you have any goals for the season?
