London is a fascinating city. There is so much going on there. There is so much to see and do, and it can often have you feeling overwhelmed if you are planning on spending a weekend or a few days in the big city. What should you do? No trip to a big city would be complete without a shopping trip and London really has some iconic places to visit. Head To The British Museum
The British Museum is one of the best places to go to if you like your history. The museum itself will always have different exhibitions on and events, and it can be a complete day out with so much to explore and see. The museum itself is dedicated to art, culture and human history, so you are bound to find an area of interest for all involved. It can be a great mix of diversity to add to your trip and a memorable time can be had by all.
Walk To The Thames
If you love to relax and enjoy the time you have, and consider yourself a bit of a foodie and drinks connoisseur then heading to the South Bank could be the ideal location. Littered with fabulous restaurants and vibrant bars, the atmosphere is like no other. Once you have had your fill of excellent food and drinks, then a walk along the Thames might be the perfect end to a lovely evening. Many people spend their days here enjoying the sights and sounds of London and just people watching.
Go To The London Eye
One of the biggest sights you can see along the London skyline is the London Eye. A big wheel that goes round and can take about an hour to complete. You can combine this activity with others in London, and it can be a great way to take in some of the best views London has to offer.
Enjoy Views From The Shard
If views are the the thing that you want to enjoy the most, then London’s latest attraction could be the one to consider. The Shard is one of the tallest buildings in London, and gives off some of the best views possible. There is a bar and restaurant to enjoy as well, and it can be a fantastic way to spend an evening Watching the sunset in one of London’s most prestigious locations.
Enjoy The Tower Of London
The Tower of London, which is officially Her Royal Majesty’s Palace and the fortress of London. It is a historical castle on the North bank of the river Thames. You can explore 1000 years of history and even see the Crown Jewels on display. There is no better time right now than to take an interest in the British Monarchy, and the Tower of London is an iconic place to do it.
Take In Local Markets
If you like the idea of getting a bargain, and want to see a bit of real London, then look no further than heading to the markets. There are two very famous ones that you can attend. You have Camden market, and you also have Portobello road market. There will be all kinds of things onoffer in these places, and it can certainly give you a real taste of London life at its finest.
Visit Madame Tussaud’s
Finally, there are many tourist lead attractions, but one of the best has to be Madame Tussaud’s. It gives you the chance to take a selfie with some of the most famous faces around, and it certainly would be a fun and interesting afternoon out.
