Our Autumn plans...
Before I get shouted at, I am fully aware that it's not officially Autumn until the 23rd September - however, that is a mere 11 days away and with how cold it's become, it certainly feels like it's started earlier this year! The leaves are already beginning to fall, the red and orange tones are coming out, and it definitely seems like Autumn outside to me. I thought that I would share some plans & goals for the Autumn season, rather than doing a monthly one; because let's be honest, the months fly by and I'd rather not give myself that pressure haha! If you fancy finding out what we're going to be getting up to then keep reading...

Finally finish my hallway...
I only moved into my house a month ago but I just want all of the flooring finished now, it's the biggest job that I have to do and it's rubbish living in a plaster covered hallway, stairway and landing. People keep telling me I don't need to rush and do everything at once, and I know that, but I also don't want to live in essentially a building site either so I'd rather get the flooring all finished and focus on furniture and decor afterwards. The hallway is the last thing to be done and all the flooring is now here so it's just a case of having it all installed! Very exciting. I'm sanding and painting my stairs white myself so that's going to be quite the task but it will hopefully all be worth it in the end.
Celebrate a 3rd birthday...
I am struggling to get my head around the fact that Reuben is almost 3. I just can't ever comprehend how fast it goes and every single birthday I feel the same! I do love having an Autumn baby though, every year it's become a tradition to go out and do a birthday photoshoot with a big helium balloon marking the age and Autumn is just the prettiest season for it. The golden leaves and the raincoats and wellies are just the cutest! I'm so excited to get photoshoot planning over the next couple of weeks and organise all his presents and birthday decor. I'm not actually sure what we're doing for his birthday yet, we usually just have a little family party at home but I don't know if I want to take him somewhere this year instead. Maybe a weekend away, maybe a day out to somewhere really fun like legoland - I have no idea. I am struggling to think of something, but maybe we'll end up just keeping it simple and go somewhere local, who knows. I'm sure Ru will be in his element with the cool presents he's got though, I can't wait to see his face!
Take all the cosy photos...
Autumn & the lead up to Christmas is my absolute fave for all the cosy & festive photos! Last year it was probably the period I've had the best engagement ever as I really put all the effort into creating content over on Instagram particularly. I'm so excited to get dug in with it all again this year, especially now that I have my own house and have much more freedom and places to do cute set ups. My lounge is already feeling super cosy as you can see from the pictures in this post, and Ru and I are loving getting snuggled up on the sofa in front of our new 50" TV. I'm still buzzing about it because we had a 32" before and it's like a cinema compared haha. Love life.

Start exploring again...
If you've noticed, I haven't been travelling as much lately or exploring new places - simply because I've just been so busy since getting the house. It's been a nightmare with Ru being off nursery for summer, trying to organise a new house and unpack every room whilst also trying to keep up with running a business. I feel so overwhelmed with it all and the routine that I'd got myself in at my parents took me so long to get into, and now I'm back to square one. But hopefully I'll have Ru back in nursery soon, things can get back to some-what normality and we can start spending our weekends exploring again. Even though I've been to York tons, I still don't know the area that well so there's loads we need to check out in our local area as well as all the new places we didn't get to go to over Summer. Autumn walks are perfect too, aren't they?!
Get into the Halloween spirit...
I think I need to throw a little halloween party at mine this year, whether it's going to be just Ru & I, or we're going to invite people, or maybe we'll just have a cosy movie night, who knows? But now that he's older, I plan on going into full mum mode with every season and event to make sure we create memories to last. If you're not into Halloween, that's cool, but for me it's just another excuse to do fun things with your kids!
Up my content game...
Again, I've been letting myself down with my blog and stuff massively lately due to the move and over Autumn, I want to get back into the swing of things. A regular schedule, lots of stuff over on YouTube, get ahead with content for instagram... the lot. Will it happen? Who knows. But I'm certainly going to try, I hate feeling in a slump being so unorganised with it all.
What are your Autumn plans? Anything exciting?
