The CBD oil market is growing big and it’s growing fast, lots of brands are getting on board with the proven benefits of this special oil. From helping relieve anxiety and acne, to curing seizures and cancer – it really is pretty special isn’t it? If you’re interested in the benefits,Β this is what you need to know about CBD oil. The research that’s gone into and continues to go into CBD oil is incredible, I’m so glad that it’s finally becoming a legal and more common product to use.
What is CBD?
CBD, also known as Cannabidiol is the lesser-known child of the cannabis sativa plant. It’s believed to have been used medicinally since 750 BC which is absolutely yonks ago. It’s advertised for providing relief of any sleep disorders or mental illness such as anxiety and depression. It’s relatively safe to use is continuously studied and experimented with to see what other relief it provides for other illnesses such as cancer. Some of the side effects can include fatigue, rashes, decreased appetite and diarrhoea but this goes for pretty much any medicine out there which all come with certain side effects dependent on the person. It’s also not yet known whether it is safe to take during pregnancy – but I’m sure in years to come these blank spots will be all filled in.
Mental Health Relief
CBD helps to reduce stress massively, and helps to decrease the physical effects of mental illness such as anxiety by reducing the heart rate and inducing sleep in cases of insomnia. Anyone that suffers with anxiety will know how life changing that can be as anxiety can really take control of your life. Studies have found that a 600mg dose of CBD helped with all of the physical symptoms of anxiety and even depression too.
Pain Relief
The effects CBD has on your brain receptors is supposedly meant to help massively with pain management. This is one of the reasons that many cancer patients use it after chemotherapy. It’s also being researched in relieving symptoms of arthritis, chronic pain, muscle pain and in spinal cord injuries amongst many other things. Some researchers believe that CBD may combat the anti-inflammatory side of things rather than the pain, so it’s yet to be confirmed properly whether or not it is recommended for pain management.
Cancer Treatment
Whilst it’s still in the early stages of research, CBD has been shown in some studies to prevent cancer cell growth as well as alleviate any pain and side effects from cancer treatment. It’s also able to reduce the ability of reproduction in certain kinds of tumor cells which is pretty incredible stuff. It will be interesting to see how the research conducts itself and what new things will get discovered over the coming years. CBDfx CBD capsules can be great too, as they can help with sleep and energy support during your treatment.
Side Effects
It is possible to have side effects with CBD oil, just like with any medication. Some of the bigger side effects can include depression, dizziness, hallucinations, low blood pressure and insomnia. There needs to be a lot more human study in order to fully understand the risks, but just like with most medicine it will vary from person to person. Whilst CBD may treat these symptoms for some, it will create them for others.
How To Use CBD Oil
CBD is extracted from marijuana plants in either oil or powder form, it’s then mixed into creams or gels and can be taken as capsules, rubbed directly onto the skin or sprayed into your mouth. There are many different ways it can be formed and taken, I’ve mostly seen it in liquid form in a bottle with an oil dropper.
