Why should you invest in a garden room?
Garden rooms have so many different uses, and can be a great investment that you can change and adapt to suit your lifestyle for years and years. Not only are they a great way to make use of your garden in the summer months, but depending on what you use one for, you're able to make much more use of your garden in the winter months too - which a lot of us don't tend to do! The possibilities are endless, but I'm sharing a few of my personal favourite ways in how you can use a garden room below...
A Home Office
Garden offices are one of the most popular choices and it's not hard to see why, it's extremely practical and gives you that space away from the noise and distractions of your home life, especially if you have children running around. Working from home is a dream, but sometimes it can be hard to keep focused and your own little office space outdoors gives you that dedicated area where you can get in the zone.
A Space For Your Business
Similar to a home office, just a bit more client based - but if you've ever wanted to go self-employed, or you already run your own business from either your own home, or renting premises somewhere, then a garden room could make your life a whole lot easier. It could be the perfect space for you to invite clients, whether you're a beauty therapist, a graphic designer, hairdresser, tutor, or even a personal trainer. It saves having to invite clients into your own home where your family is, and keeps your personal and work life separate.
A Home Gym
I keep saying to my partner that I'd really like to join the gym, I just don't get the opportunity with two young children and a home gym would be ideal. However, we don't have the space for one sadly! A garden room would come in so useful to be able to have our own gym space, then when my partner gets home from work I could just pop out into the garden to go and use it before or after dinner. If there's anything you don't have space for in your home, it gives you that whole additional room to use outside which can be so handy.
A Summerhouse
I love the idea of a summerhouse, some cosy chairs, a cute little garden table, a mini fridge stocked with ice cold drinks and the bbq nearby and ready to go - perfection! It would make the cosiest little nook to sit and socialise with friends, enjoy reading a book in peace or have a bbq with your family. What I love about summerhouses is that it doesn't stop you enjoying the luxuries of summer when it's raining too.
A Playroom
There's nothing better than getting the children outside in the summer months, running around the garden in the fresh air does them wonders. But often, they end up wanting to come inside where it's a bit cooler and all of their toys are. A garden room can create the ideal space to keep them cool, put all of their favourite toys and create them a gorgeous little play space where you can open the doors and have the best of both worlds in the garden!
If you want to invite the outdoors in while allowing your children to play safely and securely, you might consider some coloured artificial turf as child-friendly flooring. There are plenty of bright, textured colours to choose from, making it the perfect fun and vibrant way to make your garden room a fun place for play.
There are just a handful of my favourite ways in which you can utilise a garden room, Modern Garden Rooms have some beautiful hand crafted modern garden rooms to offer, and offer nationwide installation throughout the UK, making the whole process effortless.
