a little wish list inspo...
I have sucked with the whole gift guide thing this year. Sorry guys. Things have been so crazy this month and I'm disappointed in myself now that it's only a week until the big day! I couldn't miss out on sharing my favourite beauty gifts though so although a little late, here it is. My 2019 beauty gift guide... heck, there's a lot of last minute shoppers out there and a lot of us get money for Christmas so here's a few ideas that you can maybe pop on your wish list. Or even better - grab in the January sales!
a little skincare
Kiehl's is definitely one of the pricier skincare brands on the market but it's up there with the best. Christmas is the perfect time to pop a Kiehl's treat or two on your wish list! I love their festive edition packaging each year and three picks I'd personally recommend are firstly, the Ultra Facial Cream as it's one of the besttttt moisturisers for dehydrated skin and is so lightweight so it's perfect for pre-makeup application. Secondly, the Creme de Corps, which is a soy milk & honey whipped body butter with shea butter and jojoba butter and smells absolutely delish. It melts into my skin leaving it silky smooth and what would you love more during these bitter winter months?! Last, but not least, is the Kiehls Midnight Recovery Concentrate which is another winter staple, absorbs into the skin like a dream on an evening and leaves it hydrated with a beautiful healthy glow by morning!
Another one of my favourite skincare brands has to be Antipodes, these guys are in the middle ground in terms of budget, but still a tad pricer compared to drugstore prices. I think their gift sets this year are a fab way to introduce yourself to the brand and see if you like the products! The Beauty Icons Set is a three piece set that contains the Kiwi Seed Eye Cream, Vanilla Pod Hydrating Day Cream & the Apostle Skin-Brightening Serum. I've had full sizes of all three and can confirm they are incredible products that all work wonders on the skin. The eye cream is perfect for brightening & soothing the under-eye area, the vanilla pod hydrating day cream is the ultimate everyday moisturiser and brightening serum targets pigmentation and any uneven skin tones. It's literally one of the best serums I've used, I have super naturally red blotchy skin and this combats so much of it. The best!
the makeup picks
I did a full post on Bobbi Brown's Christmas collection this year, but I'm still in love with the Luxe Gems Eyeshadow Palette, it really is a beauty! I'd recommend putting anything on your wish list from BB, I use both their skincare and makeup daily and they've fast become my favourite brand to use . Their new Luxe Shine Intense Lipsticks are one of my most used everyday lips, especially their beautiful reds this month - my lips get so dry in winter but these are such a hydrating formula and the pigmentation is the bomb.
There's some amazing gift sets this year, including the bareMinerals Get Glowing Set which has three minis to give you all the glow over the Christmas period! It contains a mini matte bronzer, a mini highlight and a mini dew mist setting spray. The bronzer & highlight are both formulated to blur pores and imperfections whilst giving you alllll the glow and the setting spray is for locking makeup in place with a natural, healthy glow. It's an amazing little set, especially if you have lots of parties planned this month!
I'm going to stop rattling on now and you can browse some more beautiful beauty gifts below...
