Bird watching
It might seem like something only adults could appreciate, but children can learn a lot about the birds you find in our gardens. Grab a picture book and see which birds your child can spot and make a note of them. If you want to add to the fun you can get the colouring pencils out and ask your child to draw them.Β
-
Taking photos
Grab a camera and get out and find things for your child to take pictures of. These all help your child with their understanding of how different forms of art can appear in the simplest of things.Β

Head out on a day trip
Whether youβre abroad or at home you can find that your child will learn a lot more in a day trip to somewhere unique. Your childβs school might have some school trips or activity camps already arranged for your child, or you can head out on your own trip with your child. Museums, activity centres and wildlife centres are great examples of places to visit.Β
