You may night think of nightclubs or after-hours partying when you think of Orlando, Florida. Additionally, not all nightlife has to revolve around clubbing. Some folks like to just stay out late and catch a band or have a late-night snack. Let’s talk about some of the noteworthy features of Orlando’s nightlife.
Late Night Food
Besides being the hometown of our beloved Disney World and Universal Studios, Orlando is a pretty bustling urban city. Whether your looking for a bar for drinks and some grub or hoping to hit a club in the magical city, there’s a little bit for everyone here. Some people are hoping to just grab a late-night bite or relax with a coffee.
Santiago’s Bodega is a great place to get some food if you’re feeling the late-night hunger pangs. This is a tapas bar that serves up some of the best Spanish comfort food for roadside pickup, dine-in, and weekend brunch. Tapas are a Spanish appetizer that is sometimes served hot and sometimes cold. Tapa is simple just a small portion of food but many variations and cultures contribute to what they have become. If you’ve never experienced the joy of tapas dining, then this is a must-stop.
Kres Chophouse is another delicious eatery in Orlando that is open late. It’s a bit of a sophisticated joint, requiring a dress code and all! But it’s perfect for celebrating birthdays, anniversaries, or anything that deserves some late-night attention. If you have a dream of relaxing with friends, wine, and oysters, Kres Chophouse will not disappoint.
Lastly, The 808 is a Hawaiian-inspired restaurant that is open until 2 am. The 808 brings guests some interesting food. Spam is a popular staple in Hawaii. And no one serves it up quite like the 808. This joint is perfect for those looking to grab some tasty burgers, chicken, rice, and seafood. The 808 does a great job bringing it all together while providing visions of lounging on the shores of a Hawaiian beach.
Late Night Brews
While others might be looking to have a full meal with their late-night shenanigans, some might just wanna grab a few beers. if you’ve ever been to Orlando before or can even imagine it just in your mind, it’s obvious to say that there’s not much escaping the theatrical way of life in Orlando. Some folks may even be hoping to browse apartments for rent in Orlando while they are visiting. Everybody wants to feel a little magical sometimes and that is why we love Disney World.
The Pub is the grown-up way of bringing you this touch of whimsy while still offering great food and drinks. The Pub brings you a unique British Pub experience. The Pub is part of a chain of restaurants that offer a variety of European dining. The founder of the company traveled to Europe, created a brand, and now even has exclusive partnerships with a master bourbon distiller. They run several other popular bars/restaurant chains. The Orlando location is a popular stop for drinks and some chow at night.
Another popular late-night bar in Orlando is The Basement. Visitors rave about their happy hour deals. They are open until 2 AM and have specials throughout the whole week. This includes a Taco Tuesday with tacos from Jimmy Hula’s. The basement was opened up on July 2013 by UCF alumni. It has evolved to be one of the best places to watch Knights football.

Check out The Treehouse. We thoroughly appreciate what they are doing with the names of their bars, it makes it just that much more intriguing.
Late Night Clubs
By now you’ve gotten the hint if you didn’t already know, Orlando is celebrated as the Disney capital of the world. Universal Studios in Orlando is a popular destination in addition to Disney World. Universal Orlando is a huge park in its own right and there is a popular area for grabbing some food or some adult beverages. If you’ve visited Universal in Orlando you know that several parks make up the greater Universal Resort area.
The CityWalk area is located in the middle of the park along the river before you cross the bridge into Universal Studios. The Red Coconut is a late-night lounge that is targeted at younger, single adults that are looking to socialize, dance, and meet new people. Universal is a resort area and many people are there on vacation– hoping to relax and unwind.
If you’re hoping to visit a club outside of the park grounds, check out Midnight Lounge. It’s a hip hookah bar right off International Drive. This road is where other attractions are located as well outside of the main Universal area. There is a wide array of dance music that showcases Latin, soul, and R&B vibes.
