Want to find out what’s in my makeup bag lately?
December is my favourite month for makeup picks. The berry tones, the red lips & the sparkly picks – the best. My makeup collection has grown insanely lately, I have so many gorgeous new things that I’ve been absolutely loving! The majority of makeup in this post has probably already been mentioned on the blog somewhere recently – but it hasn’t been in my makeup bag before so I’m going to share the things I’m reaching for on a daily basis.
Charlotte Tilbury Wonderglow Primer // If you’ve been reading my blog lately, then it’s no surprise that Charlotte Tilbury’s Wonderglow has made its way into my everyday makeup bag. I’m loving how glowy and flawless it’s making my skin look and I’ve been breaking out a lot lately so it has definitely been a necessity in my makeup routine!
Too Faced Hangover Primer // My skin is very dehydrated at the moment, particularly with the cold frosty weather we’re getting, and the Too Faced Hangover Primer has been a life saver. I have a few different primers on rotation, but this is the one I’m currently using as it hydrates my skin and stops my makeup from clinging to my dry patches.
The Ordinary Coverage Foundation // This is a new foundation to my collection that I’m currently testing out. I’m not fully sold on it yet – but it’s in my everyday makeup bag so that I can give it a good go. I’ve heard so many good things about this and it’s so affordable so I really wanted to love it, but I just haven’t found the coverage to be very good so far. I’m going to keep at it and try applying it with different tools to see if I can find a way for it to apply how I like!
Glossier Boy Brow in Brown // A new brow product that I’ve been using a lot lately is the Glossier Boy Brow. It’s rare that I will go without a brow pomade, so a good brow gel to me has to add a coat of colour and keep my brow hairs firmly in place. This one does just that and I’ve been loving it so far, I can’t see it leaving my everyday makeup bag any time soon.
NARS Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Base // I recently replaced my beloved UD eyeshadow primer for this NARS one and so far so good. I have found it to crease a couple of times – but I don’t know if I just haven’t applied enough of it as it’s got a very different application compared to the UD one. It’s a clear formula which I’m not used to and not as ‘concealer-like’ as the UD one is, so I think I might just need to get the hang of the application more. I’ve worn it quite a lot now and it’s only creased like twice overall so maybe it also just depends what kind of eyeshadows I’m wearing or how oily my skin is… I’m not sure, but I’m going to keep using it and see how I get on.
NARS Contour Duo in Paloma // The NARS contour duo in the shade Paloma is something that I’ve been wearing loads lately, I’m always trying to mix up my bronzers and recently I’ve just been loving this one. It’s extremely pigmented so I have to use a very light hand with it, but it adds a gorgeous warm glow to my cheeks.
NARS Man Ray Overexposed Glow Highlight // I can’t really rave about this highlighter enough, it’s just such a gorgeous highlight and I haven’t put it down since buying it! I already did a full review, which you can check out here if you want to read more.
Rituel De Fille Celestial Sphere Eye Soot in Ara // I picked this little gem up in the Black Friday sale on Cult Beauty and I’m absolutely obsessed. You can view a swatch below if you want to see it in all its glory but wow – it’s such a beauty!! It’s essentially a cream based eyeshadow that’s incredibly pigmented and glittery. I picked up the shade Ara which is an iridescent shade and it looks beautiful on the inner corners of my eyes as well as all over the lid on top of other eyeshadows. I have my eye on the two other shades in the range as one of them is more of a golden tone which I think would look amazing!
Charlotte Tilbury Vintage Vamp Eyeshadow Palette // This palette is my new obsession – I’m a huge lover of a good eyeshadow palette and this is one I wish I splurged on a long time ago. It’s the perfect Christmas quad and I highly recommend it if you have a lot of festive parties coming up – the glitter in it is just to die for.
Charlotte Tilbury Rock ‘n’ Kohl Eye Pencil in Barbarella Brown // I was sent a CT gift set from Feelunique that contained one of the rock n kohl eye pencils in it, something I had never tried before. Boy do I wish I had tried out one of these earlier… they are amazing! It literally does not budge all day and it’s so creamy and pigmented. If you love a good eye pencil then this is definitely not one to miss out on.
Charlotte Tilbury Full Fat Lashes Mascara // Since I got a sample of the Charlotte Tilbury Full Fat Lashes Mascara, I haven’t put it down. I swear by my Lash Sensational which I sometimes use on top but I love how much volume this mascara adds to my lashes, it’s perfect for bold, volumized lashes during the Christmas period! I’m thinking about picking up a full size once this runs out as I’ve been loving it so much.
Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Lipstick in Walk of Shame // The red lip that I can’t put down at the moment is Charlotte Tilbury’s Walk of Shame. It’s no secret that the CT Matte Revolution range is my absolute favourite and this shade is one I am so happy to finally have! One of my beauty goals is to collect them all as they are so gorge!
