Which Sunday Riley oil is right for you?
If you've been around the beauty blogosphere for long enough, then I'm sure you've heard lots about the well known Luna oil from Sunday Riley. Over the past week or so I've been trialling out all three oils from Sunday Riley and I have to be honest, as much as I like Luna, it's definitely taken a backseat compared to the other two which are new to my stash. I really think it depends on your skin type to which oil you'll take to best - and today I'm going to be writing my thoughts on all three oils to help you decide which one is right for your skin type...
Luna
We'll start off with Luna, as it's spoken about quiteee a bit so there's lots of gals out there always wondering if they should make the investment in this one. Luna is the most expensive oil out of the three Sunday Riley oils and this is simply because - just wait, it's pretty impressive. Luna is a beautiful blue oil, rich in retinol that reduces signs of ageing, it combats lines and wrinkles, corrects sun damage and calms stressed skin. It helps reduce redness, whilst also tackling common issues such as eczema, dermatitis and acne. So it does a lot, hence the price tag. I've had the Luna oil in my skincare routine for months and months now. I've actually just about used up my last bottle! I incorporate it into my evening routine as the benefits that it gives are not really 'instant' or overly 'in your face' noticeable, they just leave my skin looking more healthy and youthful over a period of time. I really have noticed a difference in my skin since adding it into my evening skincare routine all those months ago, particularly with the reduction of fine lines on my forehead as I had loads! I mean it isn't botox but there's definitely an improvement. I've noticed that my skin doesn't look overly glowy on a morning when I skip using it too.
If you have a lot of skin concerns, then I would definitely recommend investing in this one as I do think you will notice a difference after having had Luna in your routine for a while. I didn't think it was worth all of the hype when I first tried it out but after some time, my skin has definitely reaped the benefits of it.
U.F.O.
If I had to tell you which one was my favourite, it would definitely be U.F.O. I have a lot of great things to say about this little discovery. I've been using this oil over the last week and it has honestly been a game changer for me. U.F.O. is infused with salicylic acid and battles blackheads, breakouts, post-acne discolouration, whilst also combatting bacteria and redness. I had quite a bad acne breakout last year and a lot of the discolouration and scarring has stuck around since, not to mention the fact that I already suffer with a lot of redness on my skin anyway. I honestly can't believe what a difference using the U.F.O. oil for a couple of days made to my skin. So much of the redness and scarring has gone - like actually gone. Not only that but it's such a hydrating oil that it's so soothing and leaves my skin so soft at the same time. It's incredible. It's an exfoliating oil (which is apparently a thing) so it completely softens my skin whilst battling blemishes and keeping them at bay. It says it only needs to be used a handful of times a week to see a dramatic improvement and I can 100% vouch for that statement. After using it twice, it was already a game changer. If you suffer with acne or are quite prone to breakouts (if you have oily skin like me for example) then this one is a must-have. I can safely say this one will be a firm staple in my skincare routine from now on.
Juno
Thirdly, we have Juno - a little something for dry/combination skin types. If your skin is quite dry and in need of an intense radiance boost as well as a healthy, dewy glow, then Juno will have your back. It's an antioxidant and superfood face oil that works to rejuvenate dull, lack-lustre complexions. My skin has been hideously dry lately so this one was a welcomed addition to my skincare stash. Full of vitamin C, omega-3, 6 and 9, as well as a long list of nourishing oils, it really does give your skin the hydration that it needs. It absorbs into the skin so quickly and leaves my face looking full of glow instantly. The cranberry and raspberry seed oils that it contains also offer natural UV protection. I think this is the perfect winter skincare staple for every girls routine at this time of year, and it's one of those oils that you will truly miss once you've tried it out. When my skin is super dehydrated like it has been lately, I think the best way to use this is to add a couple of drops into both my morning and my evening skincare routine to keep it from feeling dry and looking dull. I can't even express what a difference it makes to my makeup application, just injecting that bit of life back into my skin. I love this one.
So overall, I really am loving the U.F.O. and Juno oils in particular at the moment, but they are both new to my skincare collection so of course I am going to favour them over Luna which I've owned for some time. I do think that if you have the £££ and fancy treating yourself, all three oils are worth adding to your basket as they each have such different and incredible benefits for your skin. Based on your current skin type though, there is definitely something for everyone here and I'm sure you'll find it easy enough to work out which one is best for you right now.
