Last week, Jake, Ru and I headed out to Tenpin York for some family fun. I've never taken Ru bowling before, pre-covid he was too little and as he's now almost 5 he's kind of at the perfect age to enjoy it. He absolutely loved it and keeps asking to go back so I think it's obvious it was a big hit! Bowling is a great way for little ones, or bigger ones, to blow off some steam after school or on a weekend so I'm definitely going to making it a regular thing that we do as a family. Bowling is just as much fun for the adults so why not?!

£3 per person per game!
Tenpin York invited us down to see what's on offer, also, it’s now just £3 per person per game! At prices that low, it's such an affordable way to have lots of fun. Our game lasted about an hour for the 3 of us, so you get plenty of time out of one game and it's long enough to keep little ones entertained for a while. There's bowling ramps too which Ru obviously needed being as little as he is, but he loved carrying his bowling ball over to it and giving it a big push down the ramp!

Food whilst you play!
You can scan a QR code and order food via your phone directly to your bowling lane too which is perfect if you're hungry/thirsty whilst you're playing. They have a dining area too, but we opted for food delivered to our lane and just took a quick break from playing to eat from the bench. Jake and I had burgers and fries, and Ru had chicken nuggets and fries all followed by a big glass of Pepsi. The food was delicious, and it's ideal being able to come out straight after school and have tea out as a treat, as well as a game of bowling.

Arcades too?!
Not only is there 28 full length bowling lanes, but Tenpin York also has arcades, batfast (cricket and baseball simulation), a laser arena, pool tables and table tennis! We spent ages in the arcades after our food and game of bowling, playing on all the different arcade machines and trying to win tickets. There's a little ticket eating machine that will count them all up for you and give you a receipt, so we got ours counted and will save them for next time and let Ru choose a prize. He won loads this time as you can see above haha, he loved it!
It really is a great little spot for some after school fun, a date night, to hang out with friends, or just to take your family on a weekend for some entertainment. I always thought it was just bowling but there's so much more to it too - and the food is fab.
