Gift ideas for the little ones!
Christmas is quickly approaching but there's still time to get sorted if you're not already. I started my Christmas shopping a couple of months ago but I've been buying more and more bits over the weeks to spread the cost out - as well as trying to figure out what to buy children who already have so much! If your children are like mine, and own all the toys that you can think of, then I've put together a great range of gifts that thinks outside the box and steps away from the typical toys on the market.
There's a range of ideas here suited to younger children as well as older children.Β If you want some ideas for both girls and boys, then keep reading...
Gift Idea: Books
Books are a staple gift when it comes to any occasion, but particularly at Christmas. The book market can be overwhelming so here are some ideas if you're looking for some. By The Sea is a gorgeously illustrated book which teaches children about history and the importance of our seashores around the world. Another similar pick is Wheels which is a fun book that takes its readers through the history of wheels, from the stagecoach and steam train, all the way to skateboards and electric scooters! They're both super educational, but in such a fun and lovely way, full of beautiful illustrations. I can't wait to gift these to my children at Christmas.
Some more lovely picks are Incredible You, Is It Meant To Be? and I Think I Am, all from Hay House. Incredible You teaches children that they have everything within themselves for a happy, successful life. Is It Meant To Be? teaches children that sometimes losing out on what we thought we wanted, opens the door for something just as good. The third pick, I Think I Am teaches children the difference between negative thoughts and positive affirmations. All three are some fab picks that teach children such important things in our lives.
Gift Idea With Pura
If you want to get a gift for a little one of your own, or that you know, Pura is an award-winning baby care range that sell eco-friendly nappies and wipes that are not only friendly for babies, but the planet too! I have the pull ups for my 18 month old and we love them, the design is super sweet and they're so soft and comfortable whilst being extremely gentle on his skin. The wipes are great too and really tough, unlike most other eco-friendly brands where they just rip into shreds. We're a huge fan. If you subscribe you also receive a 'Lily And The Wipe' story book which is a super fab story.
Gift Idea: Games
Some really cute game picks include Dogsaster, an adorable game of simply stacking cute little doggies on top of each other trying to get them all to balance. There is also do a Cat-astrophe version which is just as sweet! Did you ever have a tamagotchi as a child? Well the Cyber Pet certainly brings back memories! A choice of 32 pets, 8 different care functions and at a super affordable price. This makes a fab little stocking filler.
Gift Idea: Face Masks
If you have any older children, the 7th Heaven Penguin Face Sheet Masks for ages 8+ are a great way to make them feel a little grown up for 5 minutes! Infused with aloe vera to hydrate thirsty skin, they're a very cute little stocking filler.
Gift Idea: Winter Shoes
Clothing can be a great Christmas gift, as it's an essential and we all know how quickly little ones grow. The Children's Shoe Company has the most gorgeous pair of Petasil Grange Ankle Boots that I picked out for Luca. Navy blue and fur lined, made out of 100% leather with a velcro fastening for ease of getting them on and off, I love them so much.
For rainy days, we also have the adorable Grass & Air best-selling colour changing wellies in baby blue. They do a wide range of colours but the baby blue is so sweet!
Gift Idea: Sweet Treats
Children love a sweet treat or two at Christmas and the Cocoba Christmas Treat Gift Set is such a lovely set, suited for 2-3 children. Inside you get a big mug for hot chocolate, two hot chocolate stirrers, one hot chocolate bomb, some chocolate star truffles and a chocolate bauble. It comes packaged in a lovely box tied with a ribbon and makes a gorgeous gift.
For a non-chocolate option, Swizzels do all kinds of sweet boxes priced from just Β£5. Mine and my biggest boys favourites are the love hearts, I love that you can get a tub full of just those! The big selection tubs are great for all the family too.
Gift Idea With Skates
For the older ones, Skates do the really cool JD Bug Original Street Reflex Scooter. It comes in various different colours, and it's foldable with a carry on strap, so it's easy to transport and store away during the colder months. It's pretty lightweight for a scooter whilst really safe and durable. It has an adjustable handle bar with soft foam grips so it can grow with the child too! I've stored this away to gift to my eldest during the Spring, as he has an October birthday so I figured he can get this earlier in the year to enjoy over the Summer months. It's super cool and I know he will love it so much.
Gift Idea: Soft Toys
For the little ones that love a soft toy, the Mood Bears are fab. They look like your ordinary cuddly toys, but they've actually been specifically designed to support mental health and wellbeing. There are 8 different bears in total all with their own unique colour and mood, I have the bigger hope bear with the gorgeous rainbow foot, and a smaller happy bear. Both adorable and a lovely gift for children.
Rainbow High Doll
Rainbow High do some great fashion dolls suitable for 4 year olds and above. We have the Violet Willow doll that comes with two outfits and some accessories and it's a lovely little play set. They dolls are flexible and posable, or they can be displayed on the included doll stand. Their hair can be brushed too, just remember to give it a wash first to get the gel out!
Fluffie Stuffiez
The Fluffie Stuffiez are an adorable collectable item and the ice cream plush is super cute. You can pull the outer layer to reveal the character underneath and the squishy bag included features as a lovely storage bag. There's 3 ways to play, pull it, reveal it, and stuff it!
