My cute lil NARS collection so far…
I think NARS has got to be my favourite makeup brand overall. There’s loads of others that I love for certain beauty products (like CT easily wins when it comes to lipsticks) but when it comes to how many products I own from one brand, NARS beats them all. My collection isn’t huge but I’m pretty happy with it for now, and hopefully I can work on adding more bits to it over time. I’ve been wanting to do this post for ages, I talk about all of these products quite a lot anyway but I thought it would be nice to put them all together in a single post with swatches, and I mean, who doesn’t want to see all this beautiful NARS packaging in one photo?
I mention this blush probably so much that you’re all sick of hearing about it, but it’s just such a staple in my makeup collection. It’s a peachy toned blush that adds the perfect amount of colour to my cheeks and just looks like a super natural flush of colour. It’s so glowy & gorgeous, and it’s always my go to for a quick everyday look. I still need to get my hands on more NARS blush singles so let me know your favourites!
NARS Illuminator in Copacabana // Β£23.00
I absolutely love mixing this with my foundation or applying it to the tops of my cheekbones when I’m having a minimal makeup day, it’s absolutely beautiful. It’s ideal for the summer months when you’re not piling on as much makeup but still want that gorgeous glow. Now that I’m permanently tanned, I think I want to invest in another shade, I think Laguna would look stunning!
NARS Sheer Lipstick in Dolce Vita // Β£21.00
This lipstick shade is a ‘my lips but better’ shade, it’s a sheer lipstick so it’s not highly pigmented or long lasting but for some reason I’m just so drawn to it. I love how it looks when I wear it with a full face of makeup as well as when I hardly have any on. I’m all about lipsticks that are creamy and don’t dry my lips out so that’s probably why I love it so much. It’s just so easy to wear and it’s one of those lipsticks that you can go out in without worrying about it coming off and being noticeable, perfect for mum life!
NARS Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Walkyrie // Β£20.00
One of my all time favourite shades, I love the creamy formula of the lip pencils and this shade is just so gorgeous. It’s one of my go-to lipsticks during Autumn & Winter but I still apply it all year round if I fancy a bit of a darker lip. If you like Mac Whirl then you will love this.
NARS Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Dolce Vita // Β£20.00
Another shade that I absolutely love, I recently found a drugstore dupe for this which you can read about here but I’m still smitten with it. I don’t think anything beats a lipstick in pencil form, they’re just so easy and effortless to apply, perfect for day to day wear.
NARS Unfiltered Cheek Palette II // Β£45.00
This palette is just everything, especially at this time of year. These shades are just so Spring/Summer perfect aren’t they?! I am absolutely in love with the light pink & peach tones in this palette, every shade is just so beautiful. I love how there is a couple of matte blushes alongside the shimmery ones, although the shimmers are my favourites – they just add such a beaut colour to the cheeks whilst giving me a glow at the same time. I love being able to play about with my blush based on what I’m feeling like that day!
NARS All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation // Β£34.00
I used to have the Sheer Glow foundation which I absolutely loved, but when it ran out, I decided to try out the Luminous Weightless foundation instead. I’d previously tried a sample of this and been so impressed with the coverage but it made my skin so oily which wasn’t ideal. After pregnancy, I got really dry skin (still oily in the T-Zone but nothing out of control) and it’s been like that ever since, so I knew that I’d be fine this time round. I was completely right because this is easily one of my favourite foundations. I love that it has amazing coverage, yet it’s buildable and gives me such a gorgeous, dewy base. I never use concealer with this foundation, it’s that good!
NARS Velvet Matte Skin Tint // Β£30.00
I recently invested in this foundation after pining after it since last summer and I definitely don’t regret my decision. It’s the perfect summer foundation because it’s so lightweight and leaves me with a matte finish which is ideal for these hot days to avoid getting oily in my T-Zone area. It definitely doesn’t have the best coverage but it is buildable so that I can apply a little bit more where I have redness and things. I have really clear skin at the moment and it’s not nice to have a lot of makeup on when the sun is blazing so this has been my go-to foundation to wear that makes me put a bit more put together!
NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer // Β£23.00
I’ve always loved the Radiant Creamy Concealer, it’s my absolute fave for covering up my dark under eye circles. I don’t reach for this on a daily basis anymore, because unfortunately it really doesn’t last that long for how much it costs. I do really love it but I recently tried out the new soft matte concealer after my sister bought it and I loved that too, so I may invest in that once this one runs out to change things up a bit and see if it lasts any longer.
