We all have those days where we need to do our makeup in a hurry or we can’t really be bothered with it, these are my current go-to picks for those kinds of days…
I’m sure you’ve heard me mention most of these products already but thrown together they create the perfect everyday look that I can create in under 10 mins. Sometimes I’m in a rush because I’ve decided I’d rather get a bit more sleep than spend more time getting ready, or I only have a few minutes until Reuben becomes restless. Some days I’ve decided to go makeup-free until I realise I have to be somewhere and I don’t have long to get ready, well all of these times are when I reach for these bits to do my face as quickly as I can!
Charlotte Tilbury Magic Foundation // £29.50
If you read my Cult Beauty Haul recently then you’ll probably remember that I said I hated this foundation at first. I wasn’t achieving much coverage from it and just felt like it looked awful on me. I started to give it a few more tries since it had cost me quite a bit of money and I didn’t want to waste it, and I began to apply more product than usual to try and achieve more coverage. I do have to use about 4 pumps to achieve the finish I want which is a fair bit of product to have to use, but I absolutely love the finish I get afterwards. I don’t use a primer with this and it lasts all day on me, I don’t get oily with it (as long as I set it with powder!) and it gives me enough coverage (eventually) that I don’t really need any concealer either! It’s probably not the most ideal foundation for a quick everyday look but it’s the only one I’ve been using for weeks now.
NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer // £23.00
To cover up my dark under eye circles, I always reach for a liquid concealer. I have a few different ones on rotation but one that never lets me down is the NARS Radiant Creamy. It’s so creamy (obviously) which means it’s super easy to blend in with either my beauty blender or just my finger whilst giving me a ton of coverage. My under eye circles are usually the only area I conceal in a hurry as it makes such a difference to the overall finish.
Kevyn Aucoin Sculpting Powder // £35.00
I mention this ALL the time but it’s still my holy grail contour product and for this reason it always makes it into my everyday routine, whether I’m in a rush or not. It’s so pigmented without being harsh yet still buildable for a more intense look and it’s perfect for quickly sculpting my cheekbones to add some definition to my face. It blends like a dream too, which makes it ideal for a quick & easy application.
NYX Ombre Blush in Mauve Me // £9.00
I have quite an obsession with blush so I can never skip it, I also think that a bit of colour to your cheeks is a must. The blush I’ve been reaching for on a daily basis lately is the NYX Ombre Blush in the shade Mauve Me, it’s an absolutely beautiful blush that adds a pop of colour to my cheeks without being too bold or harsh. It’s incredibly pigmented so if you don’t like much blush you need to work with a light hand but I just find it compliments my contour perfectly and I love it!
Freedom Brow Pomade // £5.00
You’re probably all thinking that it’s about time I tried something new for my brows and you’re probably right… but I just love this stuff so much. It’s STILL so creamy after all this time and hasn’t dried out at all and it’s just the perfect product to apply to my brows with ease. I used to spend so much time doing my brows but I literally do them within 2 minutes these days and this is the product that I always reach for.
Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara // £7.99
This has been my holy grail mascara for quite some time now and I can’t see that changing any time soon. I’ve just repurchased this because I use it so much, it adds so much volume as well as length to my lashes which I absolutely love. It makes my lashes stand out which is perfect for adding something extra to my eyes, especially when I’m going without eyeliner or if I’m not wearing much eyeshadow. It’s definitely a must have mascara!!
Charlotte Tilbury K.I.S.S.I.N.G Lipstick in Bitch Perfect // £24.00
I never usually go without applying a bit of lipstick, but one that’s super creamy, pigmented and easy to apply is a must. I reach for a Charlotte Tilbury lipstick 98% of the time as they just have everything I could want in a lipstick. My most reached for shades are probably Pillow Talk & Bitch Perfect, they are both just beautiful everyday nudes. I like Pillow Talk for days where I’m going for a bit more of a bold look and want something matte, and Bitch Perfect for a lighter, more natural look with a lustre finish. I absolutely adore them both and couldn’t choose a favourite but they are both so quick and effortless to apply.
Let me know if any of these products are in your quick and easy everyday picks!
