Lately I’ve been in need of a little pampering and these are the products that have given me some much needed indulgence…
I’ve been having a rough time lately as I suddenly started getting the symptoms of a nasty infection, went to the doctors and got a course of antibiotics, only for all my symptoms to come back a week later. I’m on another course of antibiotics now but the last couple of weeks haven’t been very pleasant because of it all. Reuben hasn’t been sleeping through either and waking up 3x a night (he’s back to sleeping through again now though thank god!) over the past couple of weeks so with all of this going on, it’s safe to say I’ve been feeling very crappy and exhausted. ANYWAY. It’s times like these when you really need to make time for a bit of “me time” and I’ve been trying to incorporate a lot more relaxing baths into my night time routine. I absolutely love bubble baths and products that smell amazing so today I’m going to share a few of my favourites!
Lush The Comforter Shower Cream // £4.95
I have a lot of showers these days because I have an en-suite bathroom in my room with a shower and I just find it easier most of the time to quickly hop in rather than going to run a bath. I’ve been reaching for the comforter shower cream a lot lately so that I come out of the shower smelling sweet & fruity and I just absolutely love this stuff. It smells incredible and lathers up so nicely all over my body making my skin feel so soft, it’s a real treat for the bod!
Lush Dark Arts Jelly Bomb // £4.95
I popped into a Lush last week as there isn’t one in my town and I like to pick up a thing or two whenever I’m near one. I didn’t really have anything specific in mind that I wanted so I opted to pick up one of the new jelly bombs. I got the dark arts one because none of them really looked appealing to me but the dark arts one smelt incredible. There’s nothing like a good bath bomb to pamper yourself with and this one was no different. It was so weird getting into a completely black bath though, I found it a bit creepy that the water was so black I couldn’t see a thing! It was the loveliest bath ever though, I have quite dry skin and this jelly bomb was so moisturising, I felt well & truly pampered afterwards.
Lush Rose Jam Bubble Bar // £3.95
My favourite products from Lush are the bubble bars without a doubt, I am so obsessed with big bubbly baths and the bubble bars never let me down. I wanted to buy one I hadn’t had before, so I went for the rose jam bubble bar and oh my god, it’s my new favourite. I absolutely love rose scented products and this bubble bar smells incredible, not to mention how beautiful it looks, it’s all pink and glittery! I’ve always found bubble bars give me amazing baths, but this is the first one I’ve had that has given me the biggest, bubbliest bath ever. I’ve been using the tiniest bit for my baths and the bubbles have been insane (pic below), I think I need to stock up on these bad boys!
The Body Shop British Rose Bath Foam // £8.50
Another product I absolutely adore for bubbly baths is the British Rose Bath Foam from The Body Shop. I received this in a Mothers Day PR Package a few months ago and used it all up so quick, it’s amazing. I then got it again for my birthday and I’m so in love with the scent of it, it’s so strong too! It gives me a bath full of bubbles and I’m surrounded by the most intense scent of rose, such a dream.
The Body Shop Pink Grapefruit Exfoliating Gel Body Scrub // £15.00
I exfoliate quite a lot these days because I apply fake tan once a week and I’ve started using exfoliating gloves that you can pick up from primark for a pound due to going through so much scrub. It does the job for fake tan but it’s definitely not as nice as using a body scrub, so when I want to feel extra pampered and have super soft skin, I reach for this exfoliating gel scrub from The Body Shop. It smells delicious and leaves me with such supple skin without being too harsh.
Antipodes Joyful Hand & Body Cream // £28.99
I rarely find the time to slather my entire body in cream but if I’m feeling like I need some extra TLC, I love to use one that leaves me smelling beautiful. My favourite at the moment is the Joyful Hand & Body Cream from Antipodes, it is on the pricier side but it’s such a treat to use. It has the most gorgeous berry scent, it’s incredibly moisturising and it leaves me smelling so fruity!
