Β Autumn has just arrived and I don’t know if I’m ready to pull out the bright oranges and golds yet, so instead I’ve been wearing makeup that’s a little more transitional…
That’s right, my makeup looks are back! I’ve missed doing these as blog posts. I know I did the whole YouTube thing for a while but it wasn’t for me, I may get back into it some time in the future but for now I’m putting my all into my blog. So now it’s Autumn, what could be a better excuse to do a little Autumn inspired makeup look? Instead of going straight in with bold oranges and reds to suit the season, I’ve been slowly adding them into my makeup routine instead. This look incorporates some bright pink/red shades along with a champagne gold which I feel is quite Autumnal without being over the top. I don’t usually dig out the glitter for everyday wear of course, but this eye look is one of my favourites to wear day-to-day. I know a lot of people don’t reach for shimmery shadows on a daily basis, however I mostly do and have done for years. I use my ABH palette quite a lot and it doesn’t feel right to only wear the matte shades, I just love adding a pop of something in the middle of the lid. The glitter was purely for the photo and can be added if you fancy making the look a bit more glam, because how gorgeous does it look?! And can we just talk about these lashes? I am digg-ing them. SO, keep reading to find out how I created the look.
I always do my brows before my eye makeup, that’s just how I roooll. On my brows here I have used the Freedom Brow Pomade in Auburn with my ABH Angled Brow Brush. I also like my brow hairs to be quite precisely kept in place and my favourite brow gel to use for this is the one from BrowGal – so good! To prime my eyes and prevent my shadows from creasing, I used the Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer in Eden. I also like to use this under my lower lash line!
On my eyes, the palette I went for is the Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance, which I’m sure most people own. If not you need it because it’s beauuuuutiful! To start off with, I used the shade ‘Tempera’ to highlight my brow bone which is a beautiful frosty white that gives just the right amount of glow. In the crease and under the lower lash line, I used the shade ‘Buon Fresco’ with a fluffy crease brush. I then applied the shade ‘Love Letter’ in my outer V area as well as in the inner corner of my lid. I also took ‘Love Letter’ under my lower lash line just to bring it together with my outer V. I was then left with the centre of my lid to fill and I applied the shade ‘Primavera’ all over it which is one of my favourite shades to use for a lil pop of colour!
It would be rude not to make this look pop a little bit more, so I applied a bit of the NYX Glitter Primer on the inner corners of my eyes, and put a bit of gold glitter in there. The one I used is from GlitterEyes. I finished off the look by applying a coat of the Rimmel Volume Shake Mascara and some lashes. The ones I’ve used are the Esqido Mink Lashes in the design ‘Desire’ which are just bloody beautiful! They’re very glam but in such a natural way, I’m obsessed. I also used the Esqido lash glue.
As always, a super easy look to create that looks gorgeous for every occasion. Hope you enjoyed this post and let me know what you think to this look! π
