Gift Guide: Beauty. ~ Gemma Louise

Oh yes, It’s that magical time of the year. I bring to you my first gift guide of 2017…

I have been dyyyyying to post this for weeks now guys, I’m so excited to share all these amazing goodies with you all. If you love beauty products (which I’m sure you all do, otherwise you wouldn’t be here right now) then there is some real corkers this year. Now I love a good beauty release as much as the next person, but there’s something extra special about all of the Christmas ones. Anyway, here are my favourite beauty picks for 2017…

I think one of my top favourite gift ideas this year, has to be the Urban Decay Heavy Metals Eyeshadow Palette, oh my lordddd, it’s a beaut. If you have seen my instagram stories then you’ll know that I’ve mentioned it a few times and showed swatches. It literally swatches like an absolute dream, the formula is SO creamy and so pigmented. Any eyeshadow lover needs this in their life. I also love that it’s got a nice neutral side and a more colourful ‘out there’ side, so you get the best of both worlds! Another amazing release from Urban Decay is the Vice Lipstick Palette which is just gorgeous. The top row is full of shimmers and the bottom row is full of mattes, it’s the perfect gift for any lipstick obsessive. Whilst I do love a bullet lipstick, this is such a handy little palette for travellers so you can take multiple shades with you all firmly in one place!

For an incredibly luxe gift, anything from Charlotte Tilbury is a must-have, but this year they have brought out a Beauty Icons Gift Set which is a collection of their best selling products. The contents include their lip cheat in pillow talk, a mini full fat lashes mascara, a mini magic cream, mini wonderglow & a very mini lipstick in Penelope Pink. I absolutely love this gift set and think it’s the perfect present for someone who hasn’t tried many Charlotte Tilbury products, however I do think it would be even better if it included a full size lipstick rather than a teeny one! The Scent of a Dream fragrance is also the perfect gift for a fragrance lover and the packaging is so dreamy to fit the name! For a limited time, if you buy it off the Charlotte Tilbury website direct, you receive some mini lipstick charms with it too so it makes for an even better gift!

Another fragrance that I think makes a beautiful gift is this one by Chloe, which is new to my collection. It’s such a feminine and sophisticated scent, plus the packaging is to die for, any beauty lover would love to receive this! A few other favourites of mine include Chloe Love Story, Marc Jacobs Daisy & YSL Black Opium. They are all gorgeous and fragrance is such an easy effortless gift too.

If you’re a skincare lover, then Magnitone have brought out a limited edition Rose Gold Cleansing Brush, which looks so dreamy! They are amazing at giving your skin a deep cleanse and who wouldn’t want this beauty in display in their bathroom? Another cute little gift idea is this mini moisture kit by Antipodes, which is a duo of their best selling moisturising products, the divine face oil and the hydrating day cream. I have full sizes of both and can assure you that they are incredible for dry skin sufferers. This is a great little duo to introduce someone to the brand! And finally my top skincare pick this year is the Aquamemory Replenish Collection from Gatineau which includes the moisture replenish eye roll on, the moisture replenish cream & the high hydration cream mask. Not only that, but it also comes with a brush to apply the face mask with which I think is fab! I absolutely love Gatineau as a brand, they do some amazing products that work wonders, I have a couple of products from them that I use all the time. This gift set is a perfect way to again, introduce someone to the brand.

A very hyped brand known as Glossier recently came over to the UK, which I’m sure you’ve all heard about, but not everyone has managed to get their hands on some bits yet. I made an order immediately and I can safely say every product I’ve tried is so worth the hype! I’m sure any beauty lover would be over the moon with some Glossier bits, I personally recommend the galaxy greens mask, super pure serum & the priming moisturiser. One of my favourite makeup brands is NARS who never let me down with any of their products, and they’ve recently brought out a limited edition holiday range and oh my, everything is amazing! I went into John Lewis and fell in love with the Overexposed Glow Highlighter particularly, I swatched it and it was so so pigmented and glowy. It’s on my Christmas wish list for sure. I’m not sure why I haven’t bought it yet?!
