Some glowy makeup picks for the summer months...
For me, summer is all about the glow. I tend to be a bit more subtle with it in the colder months, preferring a slightly more matte finish with a dark lip - but as soon as it gets warm again, I'm all about pops of pink with allllll the glowy highlighters. With Summer well underway (although you wouldn't think so this week with all this rain!) I thought a post on my favourite summer glow getters was a bit overdue! If you fancy adding some more glowy products to your collection then keep reading to find out which picks I'm loving lately!

NARS Sheer Glow
NARS Sheer Glow is by far my favourite foundation. I ran out and didn't repurchase it for ages and as soon as I did, I realised just how much I'm lost without it. It's the only foundation that never fails me, whether my skin is dry or oily - or both, which is how it is most of the time! It never clings to dry patches, it's not matte yet never accentuates my oiliness, and it's so lightweight yet gives an amazing medium coverage. For Summer it's even more perfect because it has such a beautiful dewy finish that even with powder, it still leaves you with a gorgeous glowy base. I love switching up my foundations and trying out new ones, but this one is honestly my holy grail and will always have a permanent spot in my makeup stash!
Charlotte Tilbury Wonderglow
I've recently started using another Charlotte Tilbury primer that I love, but Wonderglow will always be my favourite. It blends so easily into my skin without just 'sitting' on top of it and not only does it make my skin look so healthy and glowy - it melts into it and leaves it looking like it's had a blur effect applied to it which I love! I find my makeup applies beautifully when I use this so I try and incorporate it into my routine most days, particularly on ones when I know I'll be out all day and want my makeup looking as fresh as possible all day long. It's such a beautiful primer, I highly recommend this one!
bareMinerals Complexion Rescue
Another product that I've been loving over these past few weeks is the Complexion Rescue from bareMinerals, it's such a dreamy summer base. It's essentially a tinted moisturiser, and when my skin has been super dry it's come in so handy! I find it gives pretty good coverage whilst being hydrating and leaving my skin with such a healthy & natural looking radiance. I don't use it as much if I'm going through a super oily period as I don't find it to be amazing for oiliness, but when my skin is on the drier side or in between the dry & oily stage, it works wonderfully. You can use a small amount for a teeny bit of coverage or you can build it up and layer it for a heavier coverage, I love that you can mix it up depending on your skins needs. A lovely little summery staple!

Fenty Killawatt Highlight Duo
I really have not put this highlight down since I got it, I'm truly obsessed. It's the Fenty Killawatt Highlight Duo in the shade Mean Money/Hustla Baby. It's my first beauty buy from Fenty and after walking past and swatching it in a Boots store, I just couldn't come home without it. I've been focusing on investing in new highlighters this year as my collection was lacking in that area and I like to mix it up dependent on the season/what I'm feeling. I'm so glad I added this one as it's very different to all of my other highlights but I just love how it looks with my everyday makeup. Mean Money is a glow champagne tone that's a bit less 'out there' and I love using that under my brow bone and for the inner corners of my eyes sometimes. Hustla Baby is a lovely golden champagne tone that's got a lot more sparkle to it and is even nice applied all over the lid as an eyeshadow. For my everyday highlight, I mix them both together with my fan brush and sweep it all over the tops of my cheekbones, down my nose and on my cupids bow. I'll do this two or three times if I really want to glow, but once is usually enough for day to day. The shades are gorgeous on their own but even more beautiful together!

NARS Orgasm Blush
If there's one blush that's absolutely perfect for the summer months, it's NARS Orgasm. What a beauty. Still can't believe how long it took me to finally own this, it's such a dream! I used to have the dupe of it from Sleek but let's be honest, it's just not as good as the real deal. NARS kill it with all of their products and this one is no exception, it's a super pigmented, beautiful coral blush with gold specks running through it leaving you with the ultimate glow. To be honest you don't even need to wear highlight if you have this on as it leaves your cheek bones well and truly glowing! If I'm having a minimal makeup day I will usually just apply this to give a gorgeous glow & pop of colour to my cheeks and then I'm good to go. No highlight necessary. It has easily been one of my most used blushes this summer so far and I'm sure will continue to be.
Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder
I've had the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Diffused Light in my stash for a while now and I loved it when I first got it, but then it sort of got put to the back of my makeup drawer and forgotten about. Well over the last few weeks I've had it back out again and I've been putting it to use. It's quite an expensive powder so it's a shame to just let it sit there unused but it's definitely a summer must-have if you want something a bit more luxe in your collection! It gives your skin such a smooth and blurred effect, doesn't make your makeup look caked and helps keep it all set for the day which is necessary on long hot summer days. I love the subtle glow it gives that I don't get from my other powders, it can turn a matte foundation into something a bit more dewy looking within seconds. Such a gorgeous powder!
Let me know what glowy picks you're loving this summer! You could also try body shimmer powder for an all over glow.
