Taking care of your skin with Jurlique...
Times are so tough at the moment and I'm sure we can all agree that trying to focus on the smaller things in life really helps to get us through the day to day. Trying to keep our positivity levels up amongst all of this is so hard, but also so important. With that in mind, I wanted to share some organic skincare products from Jurlique that have been an absolute dream for my skin recently. I think it's so important to invest in eco friendly beauty brands, and I couldn't be more excited to share with you one of the best!
At the moment, I'm loving going for a long soak in the bath on an evening and really pampering my skin. I'm not wearing makeup as much which is great as my skin is able to breathe a lot more, but it's also the perfect excuse to let it soak up all the goodness in my skincare products too. I have an extensive skincare regime that I'm doing each morning and evening and my skin is seriously thanking me for it. I'm going to share the benefits of organic skincare as well as the Jurlique goodies that I've been using over the past few weeks and give you a little insight to the gorgeous brand...
a little about the brand...
Jurlique is an Australian born brand that fully believe in natural ingredients over chemical ones, the brand was founded by Ulrike and Jurgen Klein over 30 years ago, who both shared a vision of natural-based, chemical free skincare. Together they wanted to create a sustainable skincare collection using a combination of nature's beautiful powers with the best non toxic skincare science. One of the amazing things about Jurlique as a brand is that they have a serious commitment to sustainability. So, not only will their toxin free skincare products do wonders for your skin, but you'll be protecting the environment too - it's a win win! Their packaging is completely sustainable, they've even won four awards for their sustainable packaging efforts which is incredible. Their products are all home-grown on their own farms, and they have completely sustainable farming practices too. Who doesn't love sustainable beauty and eco friendly skincare?! I think we need a lot more brands to follow suit.
about the products...
The Jurlique Moisture Plus Rare Rose range is such a fantastic skincare range if you love glowing and hydrated skin. Even though we have just entered Spring, it's still extremely cold out there and keeping your skin hydrated is an absolute must. I think the fact that we are currently in lockdown in the UK means that your skin may need more hydration than ever. The dry indoor heat tends to suck the moisture out of the air, therefore leaving skin & lips extremely dried out - and it's not pleasant let me tell you! The Moisture Plus Rare Rose eco friendly beauty range is formulated with lots of antioxidants and high-performing natural ingredients that give your skin everything it needs to look glowy and hydrated all day long.
the two hero products...
The Jurlique Moisture Plus Rare Rose Lotion is the best organic face moisturiser for dry skin It's perfect for calming and soothing, and it's suitable for all skin types - even sensitive! If you're in need of intense hydration, this delivers it in just 24 hours as well as restoring your natural glow for beautiful, dewy skin. It has such a light formula that makes it perfect for applying just before your makeup too.
The Moisture Plus Rare Rose Serum is an essential for both your morning and evening skincare routine. It will help add even more hydration, and keep your skin smooth and plump as well as protecting it against the first signs of ageing. I use this serum twice a day because I'm so obsessed, it sinks in like a dream and my skin just soaks it right up and feels so hydrated afterwards! It's by far the best organic serum that I've come across.
not forgetting the other gems...
There's two other moisturisers from Jurlique that I've been trying out and both are equally as fab. The first one is the Moisture Plus Rare Rose Cream which is good for normal to dry skin and has a thicker consistency, it's extremely nourishing so it's a lot better for drier skin types. I like using this one on an evening mostly as that's where I feel like I reap the benefits of it. The other one is the Moisture Plus Rare Rose Gel Cream which still hydrates the skin but is more focused on helping to rebalance normal to combination skin. My skin tends to get really dehydrated sometimes, but most of the time I still get oily in my T-Zone area. This is the perfect kind of moisturiser for my morning routine as it's a little bit lighter, and it keeps my dry areas hydrated whilst helping to combat any oiliness. This one will be a staple as the weather gets warmer!
It's never a completed skincare routine without a good face mask, and the Rose Moisture Plus Moisturising Cream Mask is a very welcomed addition to my face mask stash. You can leave this on for 10 minutes or you can leave it on overnight for a more intense treatment. It's rich, creamy and luxurious and I'm obsessed with slathering my face in it and leaving it to do it's magic overnight! My skin is glowing by morning. Last but not least, we have the Rosewater Balancing Mist which I had heard so many good things about, and now I understand why. I love a good face mist and this one is instantly hydrating and so refreshing. I like to use it as part of my skincare routine, but I also love having a spritz here and there throughout the day if my skin is feeling a little dull and dry. I would definitely recommend this one for the hot summer days - trust me, you'll be thanking me.
Overall I've become a little obsessed with Jurlique over these past few weeks. I've been making a conscious effort to invest in more sustainable skincare products, but it's hard to know which ones will also work well with my skin. Anything that can combat dehydrated and oily skin together is always a winner in my books and I also love anything rose scented so this round-up like the dream skincare routine for me! If you're looking to add more sustainable beauty brands to your collection then I'd highly recommend investing in Jurlique. Not only do they offer non toxic beauty products, but they have recyclable skincare packaging so you can treat yourself without the guilt.
Have you tried anything from Jurlique? Do you think you'll be trying out this gorgeous range of products?
