As much as I love skincare & makeup, I'm all about a quick and easy routine that leaves me with dewy skin, a pop of colour on my cheeks and fluttery lashes. Bobbi Brown products help me achieve exactly this with their gorgeous range of beauty products, their skincare particularly, as my skin is always perfectly hydrated and glowing afterwards, meaning my makeup always applies lovely and easily. Today I thought that I would share a few of my favourites and some of the things that I've been reaching for daily over the past month...
Radiance Boost Mask
I'm obsessed with the Bobbi Brown Radiance Boost Mask, I first got a sample of this from a Bobbi Brown counter in John Lewis when I had a skincare/makeup trial and I fell in love. It's a mask that contains superfine walnut grains and I find it so satisfying to apply, feeling the grittiness of it exfoliating all of my dead skin cells away - particularly when I'm having a breakout and it feels like I'm scrubbing all of that bacteria away! It works amazingly but because the walnut grains are so fine, it's gentle enough for sensitive skin and isn't rough in the slightest. It's actually incredibly creamy and hydrating at the same time. It also contains a touch of orange oil, which is meant to be a pick me up for tired & dull looking skin, and I can confirm that it really works a treat. My skin always looks so fresh and glowing after using it that I probably use it far more than it's recommended to. I think the scent of the orange oil helps too, it's absolutely delicious!
Extra Face Oil
I don't know if you can tell from my photos, but I've pretty much used up all of this face oil. My skin has been really dull and dehydrated over the last month so I've been going mad with the Extra Face Oil and it really has worked a treat at giving my skin the hydration that it's needed. It contains Vitamin E, sesame, sweet-almond, olive and jojoba oils which leave your skin feeling gloriously soft and supple. I've also added a dab to my lips when applying it to my skin and it's helped keep them nice and soft too, they were cracking at one point and this helped immensely. It's been a staple in my evening skincare routine!
Long-Wear Weightless Foundation
The Bobbi Brown Skin Long-wear Weightless Foundation with SPF 15 is my daily go-to foundation. I love how lightweight it is yet has really great coverage for my red-prone skin, it covers well whilst still looking and feeling very natural. I have the shades Warm Ivory and Warm Sand which I switch between, depending on how fresh my fake tan is. If I'm freshly tanned, Warm Sand is prefect for the hint of colour and quite natural tan that I go for, and if it's faded, Warm Ivory is just a bit lighter and paler. I find that I don't need too much of this either if I use it with a damp beauty blender, so a bottle lasts me a good few months which is fab.
Bronzing Powder in Golden Light
I never do my makeup and skip a bronzer, as I just think it really brings your face together and adds colour and definition. My go-to bronzer lately is the Bobbi Brown Bronzing Powder in the shade Golden Light. It's a gorgeous warm shade that's perfect for this time of year as we approach Spring. I also sometimes use the shade Natural which is a bit darker and cooler and good for contouring with. Both shades are lovely for pale to medium skin tones.
Smokey Eye Mascara
I've raved about Bobbi's Smokey Eye Mascara many times, and I'm still just as in love with it as ever. It just gives me the perfect, fluttery lashes with lots of volume. I find this works the best alongside Revitalash which I use on my lashes often to keep them conditioned and long in length, and then the Smokey Eye Mascara lifts them up and adds all the volume to make them look their best. I can't be without a good mascara and this one is the best.
Crushed Lip Color in Bare
I have a couple of the Crushed Lip Color Lipsticks from Bobbi Brown and I love them as they're so moisturising and creamy. Lately I've been wearing the shade 'Bare' which I wouldn't describe as bare, on me it's quite a dark nude but with a natural tone to it. The Crushed Lip Color lipsticks are like a very pigmented lip balm and are super easy to apply, so I love wearing this one and popping it in my handbag on the colder days. I feel put together without my lips drying out!
