The one thing that really helps me relax and collect my thoughts when I'm going through a stressful time is an at home day. I like to light my favourite candles, pop some wax melts in the burner, make some nice food and just spend the whole day being totally chilled out. It's a real self-care routine for me, and I'll often treat myself to a nice hot bubble bath and pop on some expensive skincare too. I've been feeling like a great addition to my home would be a diffuser for a while now, I loved the idea of sitting in my bedroom whilst one was diffusing a delicious scent in the background.
So, when Green People offered to send me their new Alexandra Kay Time To Breathe Ceramic Diffuser, I was thrilled to say the least! Not only is this a beautiful white ceramic diffuser, perfectly suited to fit in within any home, but it really has made all the difference to my at home days.
Alexandra Kay Time To Breathe Ceramic Diffuser
The diffuser has a 90ml capacity and gives off a soft glow of light so it adds a lovely ambience to the room, especially during these dull winter days! It has an automatic shut-off setting so it turns itself off when it's empty which is a safety feature that I really like, especially as a busy mum with a little one. It's fitted with ultrasonic plates to gently vibrate diluted essential oil blends without using heat, to preserve their therapeutic properties and fully optimise their calming benefits. It's super easy to clean too, and holds plenty of water so it lasts a long time once you've filled it up which usually means I can leave it running and enjoy it for most of the day.
It barely makes any noise at all when turned on, it just has a very quiet whirring sound as it's releasing the oils into the air which I actually find really relaxing - particularly when I'm sat at my desk working. Work can be quite stressful so I enjoy switching it on during my working days, as well as during my downtime.
The diffuser is not only a lovely addition to a well-being and self-care routine, but it also supports The Ehler-Danlos Support UK through it's sales. Behind the brand, Alexandra Kay, was a lovely woman who was diagnosed with Hypermobile Ehlers Danlos Syndrome in 2018. The Ehlers-Danlos Support UK will receive 10% net profit with every purchase of this product, which makes it even more worthwhile investing in, knowing that you're contributing to such a good cause.Β
Alexandra Kay Time To Smile Essential Oil Blend
You may recall my review on the Alexandra Kay Time To Smile Essential Oil Blend back in May, I really loved the scent so much that out of the three essential oil blends available, I had to pick it again. There is a couple of other essential oil picks including the Time To Relax blend and the Time To Sleep blend, but the Time To Smile is my favourite. With top notes of sweet orange, lemon and peppermint, it's a citrus dream and I adore inhaling citrus scents - something about them just really lifts me up. I do enjoy a variety of different scents, from floral and vanilla notes, to citrus and sometimes even very masculine notes, but I have never come across a citrus scent that I've disliked and this essential oil blend is no exception.
The Time To Smile Essential Oil Blend is designed to uplift your mood and I find it does exactly that in my ceramic diffuser, giving off a lovely scent all day long to help me de-stress. Of course, if you want to be able to smile more readily, it can help to take care of your smile itself too. Whether you need dental implants or just to care for your teeth a little better at home, this is worth doing if you want to be happier with your own smile.
