A Christmas gift guide for coffee lovers…
A little Christmas gift guide for the coffee lovers in your life! If you follow me on IG or TT then you’ll know how much I love coffee, my coffee station is used daily and I love collecting cute mugs and learning the ins and outs of creating sensational coffee from home.
I often get asked if I recommend my Sage machines (full post on this coming soon!) as well as where all my mugs are from, so this post contains lots of my recommendations as well as some bits I have my eye on getting. Whether you’re looking for some inspiration for your own Christmas list, or need ideas for someone in your life who loves coffee, this gift guide is for you!
CoffeeMachines
Coffee machines are quite a spenny purchase, so if you’re looking for one for your partner or as a joint family gift – these are my recommendations. All of my recommendations will be from Sage as there’s no other brand that compares in my opinion, so here’s something for every budget.
Sage Bambino Espresso Machine
The Sage Bambino is the perfect mini coffee machine for anyone new to an at home coffee machine, who doesn’t want lots of buttons and faff. It’s Β£330, can be used with pre-ground coffee and doesn’t take up much kitchen worktop space. If your budget is at the lower end for a coffee machine, it’s ideal and is still a game-changer when it comes to making coffee from home.
Sage BARISTA EXPRESS
The Sage Barista Express is the perfect entry-level machine to anyone who fancies the at-home barista life. These can often be found in a variety of shops on a good discount or in various sales like Prime Day, Black Friday, etc. I treated myself to this two Christmas’ ago and it was one of the best investments I ever made – I learned to make delicious cafe-quality coffee from home, and taught myself how to do latte art. Any coffee lover would be over the moon to receive this for Christmas if they don’t already own one!
Sage ORACLE JET
The Sage Oracle Jet is my latest coffee machine, received through working with Sage, and it’s a total game changer. All of the Sage machines are amazing, however the more you spend, the more it will do for you. The Sage Oracle Jet is a pretty expensive gift, however if you’re looking to invest in something that you or someone else will truly love for years & years to come, this is the one to get. It does all of the hard work for you too, so it’s a great machine for anyone with a busy family life, or those that work from home. If you’re not particularly interested in the ins and outs of coffee, or learning how to perfect your puck, BUT still want to drink perfectly made coffee at home, then this machine would 100% be the one for you.
Tools
I love my variety of coffee tools, as someone who really does love the creation of coffee, it’s so fun having all the fancy bits and bobs. If you follow any of these coffee geeks on TikTok, there is so many different levels of faffing you can do when it comes to coffee. I would say I’m in the middle somewhere, I don’t go as far as to weigh out my coffee or spray my beans with water, but I do like perfecting my puck and using a bottomless portafilter.
Some of the tools you can gift to a coffee lover include a good Set of Scales, if they’re into weighing out their beans.
A Bottomless Portafilter is fun to see gorgeous extraction of coffee – however, make sure you get the right size for the machine it’s going to be used with!
The Sage Distribution Tool & Force Gauge Tamper are lovely bits to have too, I particularly love the Sage Distribution Tool as it’s a two in one and saves on space. If you buy both of these tools along with the bottomless portafilter above, they make such a gorgeous set with the walnut finish. I love having these out on my worktop next to my coffee machine. Again, these come in 54mm and 58mm so make sure you get the right ones for the machine they’re going to be used with.
I also love having cute puck screens to use which help improve the water distribution and keep your machine nice and clean. My favourite set is this one.
Milk Jugs
My all time favourite milk jug is the Sage Pro Control Jug with the heat-resistant sleeve. This is in brown so it matches the other walnut sage tools if you already have those, or are thinking about buying them. I like having something that’s a little more aesthetic, however the milk jugs that come with the Sage machines are perfectly fine too.
Cute Mugs
There’s nothing better than a cute mug to drink your coffee from, some of my favourite places to shop for mugs include Anthropologie, Oliver Bonas, and any handmade finds from Etsy. I’ve linked some of my favourites down below for you to browse.
Latte Art Classes
I know how infuriating it is when you’re desperate to finish off your coffee with pretty latte art but just can’t quite manage it. It took me 12 months of practicing and a few helpful tips from Sage when I was invited down to their studio to finally be able to do it well! If you know someone who really wants to be able to do latte art, then a latte art class is the perfect Christmas gift. 200 Degrees offer a Β£75 workshop in a variety of locations, so you should be able to find something close to you.
I’ve popped a shop the post below so you can shop with ease!
