The perfect all in one eye & cheek palette for on the go!
I’m a little late to the party with this one but I’d been debating picking up one of these little beauties for a while and then out of the blue, I won one in Jasmine’s Instagram giveaway! I rarely win anything so I was so happy to receive it. It’s taken me a while to get around to reviewing it because I’ve been busy being a new mummy but finally I’ve found some time to photograph and swatch the little gem. The Stila Perfect Me, Perfect Hue Palette is a fairly new product by Stila and it’s an eye & cheek palette that comes in four different shade options designed to suit every skin tone. I got this in Fair/Light which is perfect for me really as I have a really pale skin tone. If I’d have bought this myself, I probably would have gone for the Tan/Deep palette which is actually the darkest shade option available but it’s full of deep plums with a gorgeous looking copper shade that’s right up my street and is also perfect for A/W. I still love the one I have though as it is full of shades suited for light skin tones like mine and it’s still gorgeous nonetheless!
The palette contains five eyeshadows and two blushes encased in pretty gold leopard print packaging (so Instagrammable) that’s really sturdy and travel friendly. The palette also has a large interior mirror which makes it even handier for using on the go. The shades inside consist of:
Alluring: a matte pale pink base
Breathtaking: a matte off white highlight
Passionate: a shimmery light copper toned lid shade
Dynamic: a matte mauve shade
Glamorous: a warm deep matte brown
Romantic: a light pink blush
Playful: a bold coral pink blush
Overall I really like the palette, it’s so ideal for an easy go-to or to take travelling to make packing lighter. I found a couple of the shades like Romantic and Glamorous to be a bit powdery but that was when swatching them on my arm so I think with a light hand and a makeup brush they’ll be fine. I love the selection of eyeshadows and can see them being ideal to create quite a few different looks with. The blushes aren’t ones I’d usually go for as I tend to go for more peach based blushes but I do really like the coral one and think with a very light hand as it’s extremely pigmented, it will be a very pretty shade to wear. My favourite shade overall is Passionate, it’s such a gorgeous coppery gold shimmer and is definitely my kinda eyeshadow! I can’t wait to play around with this palette.
These palettes retail at £28.00 each which I think is a fab price for what you get, definitely worth every penny. I’m thinking of picking up another shade option! Have any of you guys got hold of one of these palettes yet?
