Get your glow on this summer...
Is there anything better than glowing all summer long? Getting your legs out, having glowy skin with & without makeup and making your eyes pop with beautiful shimmers and corals. Glowing cheeks are a must for me during the summer months, and I'm not talking about oily skin, I'm talking beautiful highlighting powders finished with a rosy pink blush. I also love bringing out all the bronze tones to compliment my darker tanned skin as well as bright coral shades, perfect for the summery days. Today I'm sharing my current favourite products to achieve the above, some old and some new!
Fresh Rose Deep Hydration Toner
The Rose Toner from Fresh is one of my favourite toners to use, it leaves my skin looking and feeling so healthy. It's a gentle and hydrating toner that's perfect for every skin type. It combats dullness, pores and dryness which overall leaves helps leave your skin looking much brighter. I've been using it for a couple of months now and my skin looks so clear and healthy right now which is perfect for my no makeup days!
Charlotte Tilbury Wonderglow
I rave about Charlotte Tilbury's Wonderglow allllll the time but come on, it's perfect for absolutely everything. And everything includes during summer when I want a glowy base. It blurs my pores, leaves my skin silky smooth and gives me a healthy, radiant and dewy complexion perfect for under any foundation. I do have to use a mattifying primer as well with this because of my oily t-zone but this just means I have glowy skin rather than being an oily mess!
Sol De Janeiro Ipanema Sunset Glow Oil
If you love tanned skin, or just glowing skin in general then you have to invest in the Sol De Janeiro Glow Oil. It comes in two shades, Ipanema Sunset and Copacabana Bronze and both are absolutely beautiful, but I have Ipanema Sunset and I'm obsessed with it! I apply this all over the parts of my body on show depending on the outfit I'm wearing and it has the most gorgeous fruity scent as well as leaving my skin glowing like a goddess. My favourite place to use it is on my legs on top of my fake tan when I'm wearing a dress or skirt, it makes such a difference to the look of my skin and I instantly feel more confident. Cannot recommend this enough if you're going on a summer holiday this year or just for summer in general, you won't regret it.
Laura Geller Illuminator Drops in Gilded Honey
One of my favourite highlights is the Laura Geller powder highlight in Gilded Honey so when Cult Beauty sent the Illuminator Drops over I was so excited to try them! I don't really get on with liquid highlighters admittedly but I soon found a use for these as they are absolutely gorgeous. I've been putting them on my collarbone area which I think adds a really lovely glowy touch to my skin when I'm wearing low cut tops which is a lot during the summer! It accentuates my collarbones and makes me look super sunkissed, love it.
Bobbi Brown Sparkle Stick in Rose Quartz
If you've been reading my blog lately then you'll know that I've got a new obsession with the Bobbi Brown Sparkle Sticks and Rose Quartz has been on my eyes non stop. It's the perfect shadow stick for gorgeous glowy summer eyes and compliments bronzed complexions perfectly. I think the shade Molten Bronze will look just as gorgeous so I recently ordered that one too and can't wait to use it.
Charlotte Tilbury Eyes To Mesmerise in Rose Gold
Another beautiful eyeshadow to wear is the CT Eyes to Mesmerise in the shade Rose Gold. It's a warm pink with gold undertones and it's perfect for the summer months. I've worn it with and without fake tan and it compliments both skin tones gorgeously so it's definitely one for every girl out there. It's so creamy and easy to blend too so if you don't like to put much effort into your eye makeup then this one is for you!
NARS Unfiltered II Cheek Palette
I can't actually find this available anywhere so I don't know if it was limited edition but the NARS Unfiltered Cheek Palette II is one of my favourite blush palettes. It was put to the back of my drawer over the winter but as soon as Spring/Summer came back around, it instantly came back out as the colours are just perfect for these months. All of the shades contain shimmer so not only do they add beautiful flushes of colour to the cheeks but they add a super gorgeous glow too, I can't get enough!
Too Faced Love Flush Blush in I Will Always Love You
Another blush I'm loving for the colour and glow is the Too Faced Love Flush Blush in I Will Always Love You. It's a gorgeous peachy pink with subtle shimmer that makes it the perfect companion for a poppin' highlight. It looks really dark in the pan but it's so light when swatched, it's one of my faves.
NARS Man Ray Overexposed Highlight
The NARS Man Ray Overexposed Highlight in Double Take was actually limited edition at Christmas but I'm so glad I picked it up at the time because it's still my favourite highlight to this day. The swatch below does it no justice as it's far more glowy on the cheekbones but can be applied more subtle or built up for the ultimate glow. Whenever I want to really glow I dig out this bad boy as it's super super glowy yet so natural looking at the same time, it blends into my skin like an absolute dream. Love it!
Huda Beauty Coral Obsessions Palette
A new eyeshadow addition to my collection is this absolute beauty from Huda. This is the Coral Obsessions Palette and it couldn't be more perfect for the summer. It contains 7 matte shades and two shimmers which I think makes it an ideal everyday palette even though the shades are quite bright. The two shimmers are so so pigmented and compliment all of the matte shades in the palette. I've been experimenting with this loads lately and creating lots of different looks so I should hopefully have one up on the blog soon!
