A few new additions to my jewellery collection...
I've really been getting into jewellery lately - I've always been a fan of minimal accessorising, and in some ways I still am in the sense of what kind of jewellery I like to wear... however, I'm definitely starting to wear a lot more of it. I invested in a couple of ear cuffs recently and I basically permanently wear one of them now as I love it so much. I've also started wearing studs in my lobes again, I actually thought they'd healed up as I haven't worn any earrings in them in so long! I'm just honestly loving playing around with jewellery at the moment and adding something different to my outfits. My wardrobe is quite basic so it really makes a difference! If you love adding pretty accessories to your stash, then keep reading to find out all about my current favourite jewellery pieces...
Daisy London
I'll start off with talking about the two absolutely gorgeous necklaces from Daisy London, I mean, they really are beauties. Daisy London is a brand I've been eyeing up for absolutely ages, so to finally own a couple of their pieces is like a dream. The first one I picked out was the bark wreath necklace which is so me. I'm really into simple pieces and this is the kind of necklace that you can wear with literally anything. Most days I don't have the time to be thinking about what jewellery goes with what so to have a go-to piece that is a fail-safe option is ideal for me. I'm really into my round pendant necklaces but they're usually a coin style pendant, so to have something a bit different in my collection is lovely. It's perfect for layering too!
The second one I picked out was the sunburst shield necklace from the Estée Lalonde collaboration, and it actually pairs perfectly with the wreath necklace - I didn't think it would, so what a nice surprise! I used to be obsessed with longer chain necklaces like this one and I haven't worn one in quite a long time now so this is quite a unique necklace in my jewellery collection. I think it's just really nice to have different pieces to play around with and style, as it gets so boring always wearing the same thing. I think this is the perfect piece to layer and wear with my other necklaces. Honestly, I am so in love with both of these picks from Daisy, worn together and on their own, they're both just stunning. I now have my eye on the isla fossil charm necklace & the isla starfish chain, now that I've had a taste of Daisy I can't get enough!
John Greed
If you're a regular around here, then you've probably heard me talking about John Greed before. I own a few of their pieces now and I still wear them all on the regular. I recently received a few more bits from them (much to my joy!) and they are the cherry on the cake, because I picked things that I could wear with my other JG bits. I own a space pendant necklace from them that I'm so in love with, and I thought that their sky plated silver moon ring would be the perfect little piece to pair with it and I was so right! I love that they're both within the same theme and they look fab together, they're both quite simple pieces too - so again, easy to throw on with anything! It really is a gorgeous little ring to have in your collection, there's something so lovely about crescent moons isn't there?
I have been loving rings recently so to add a few more to my collection - I picked out the anahita gold plated silver ring stack which I love! I'm not into overly fancy rings, and I like them to be quite simple, but also not too plain. I know, fussy right? The ring stack is perfect for me as they have a hammered finish which gives them a bit of an edge. You get three in the set so they're fab for styling up with other rings as well as just worn alone on alternate fingers. Most of my jewellery is gold so they honestly just go well with everything in my collection, what could be better?!
Last but not least, my final pick from John Greed was the cove rose gold plated silver ammonite stud earrings which are just super super cute. They remind me of little shells and are perfect for the summer months when you're having a beach day! I don't own many rose gold pieces anymore as I'm kind of over that phase, but I think these look lovely on my ears with other silver & gold bits, to keep it mixed up and not all same-y! They're just a gorgeous addition and I can't wait to get lots of wear out of them over the next few months.
Are there any jewellery brands you're loving in particular lately?
