My current skincare routine...
It's officially Spring in 6 days and I honestly can't wait, but with that in mind, I thought I'd share the skincare products that I've been loving over the Winter months that I'll continue using as we enter the new season. A good skincare routine is something that's high on my priority list, and something I really enjoy too. I like taking care of my skin and giving myself a little pamper, I wonder if it's a getting older thing?! I definitely get more excited over new skincare than I do makeup.
My skin is a combination of dry with oiliness in my T-Zone area, but I have found that as I've gotten older, my oiliness is nowhere near as bad as it used to be. I used to have extremely oily skin but seem to have grown out of that a little, I wonder if it's more to do with hormones and things?! Over the past year, my skin has definitely leaned more on the drier side, so my skincare routine tends to focus on that more than anything else, and I really do love my current routine as it just works.
Here are the products that I've been using and loving...

AXIS-Y Dark Spot Correcting Glow Serum
AXIS-Y is a new Korean skincare brand to my collection, but one that hasn't disappointed. I'm so prone to breakouts, particularly around my time of the month and during this pregnancy they've been horrendous. I've ended up with so much redness and scarring which leaves my skin looking pretty awful. I added the Dark Spot Correcting Glow Serum to my routine and it's definitely been a game changer. AXIS-Y is a Korean vegan and cruelty free brand that stocks some really great skincare products, with gorgeous branding to match. The Dark Spot Correcting Glow Serum is a 5% niacinamide-based and dark spot correcting serum, it works to combat uneven skin tone whilst retaining moisture to keep your skin lovely and glowy.
I saw results after just a few days of adding it to my routine, my skin is looking so much even in tone, my acne scarring has reduced huge amounts and I feel so much more confident when I'm not wearing makeup! Usually I'd feel really self conscious due to my redness and scarring, but I've been going out in just tinted moisturisers or with a bit of concealer due to my skin being so vastly improved. If you suffer from a lot of acne breakouts and redness, I couldn't recommend this more.
AXIS-Y Complete No-Stress Physical Sunscreen
Another AXIS-Y product that I've been loving is the Complete No-Stress Physical Sunscreen. We've actually started getting sunshine again so this has been a staple in my skincare routine lately. It has SPF 50+ and features 2% niacinamide and squalane that protects your skin from UVA and UVB damage whilst giving your skin lots of love. What I love about this, is that most SPF protection tends to be really sticky, doesn't blend into your skin well and leaves a horrible residue for you to apply makeup to. Well, not with this one! It's a super light-weight formula that just sinks into my skin like a dream, leaves no stickiness, and just feels like I've put a serum or something on my face. Using SPF is so important and it's much easier to add it to my routine when it's as effortless as this one is!
Beauty Pie Brightening Eye Fix
If you're not on the Beauty Pie hype yet, you should be, they have so much great skincare! In particular, I'm loving the QI Energy Ginseng Root & Ginger Brightening Eye Fix lately. I have been really struggling to sleep during this pregnancy, so my dark eye circles are definitely showing and I find this helps to really brighten up my eye area and help me feel much more awake in the mornings especially. I can't link it as it's not on the site currently, so it may be sold out, but I'm not surprised as it really is such a good product.
Bobbi Brown Vitamin Enriched Face Base
I couldn't do a round-up without including one of my holy grail skincare products now, could I? I'm still as obsessed with the Bobbi Brown Vitamin Enriched Face Base as ever, it really lives up to the hype. It's definitely a pricey one, but if you've never used it, it's essentially a primer and moisturiser in one and it keeps my dry skin super healthy and moisturised whilst providing me with the most silky skin to apply makeup to. It's definitely a hard one to replace!
Mario Badescu Facial Spray With Rosewater
I really love having a facial spray as part of my skincare routine, and my current favourite is the Mario Badescu Facial Spray With Aloe, Herbs & Rosewater. Mario Badescu is a super affordable brand whilst delivering high quality ingredients that truly work. The Rosewater Facial Spray gives a lovely hydrating boost and feels so refreshing to use. I like to spray my beauty blender with this when I'm blending in concealer & foundation, as well as using it as part of my skincare routine for a super refreshing spritz.
REN Evercalm Overnight Recovery Balm
I received the REN Evercalm Overnight Recovery Balm as part of a LookFantastic beauty box and it's definitely going to be a repurchase for me. It's essentially a barrier oil to nourish your skin overnight and it feels so dreamy to wear and apply. It's formulated for sensitive, stressed or dehydrated skin and it really does work a treat. I apply this post-cleanse on an evening and I can instantly feel it soothing my skin after a day of wearing makeup. It kind of feels like you've applied an entire jar of vaseline to your face, but in a good way. I wake up in the mornings with such fresh, supply skin, it's absolutely a must-have if you suffer with dryness!
Mario Badescu Rose Lip Balm
The last product in this round-up, is the Mario Badescu Rose Lip Balm. A lip balm is an all year round staple for me, but my lips tend to get extremely dehydrated in the winter months and I've found that this little number works a treat on them. I'm currently wearing nothing on my lips and they feel so supple and soft, which is such a giant leap from the state they were in just a week or so ago. They were so dry and cracked! If you're in the market for a good lip balm, this is a great one.
Do you have some staples in your winter skincare routine?
