~ In collaboration with Skiddle. ~
One of the goals I set myself when I turned thirty, is to see more of my favourite artists live. Going to live gigs isn’t easy when you have little ones but now that my youngest is a bit bigger and easier to leave with family, I’d love to book tickets to see some more live music. It’s been so long since I last went to a concert and the atmosphere is always amazing and it’s such a good night out, so I really can’t wait to experience that again.
Skiddle are a fab company to buy tickets through for gigs in London, I’m always on there browsing for some good ones. A weekend in London, shopping and eating with a gig thrown in for good measure? Sounds like a blast!
Here are some of the big artists I’d personally love to go and see…
Coldplay
Coldplay are one of those bands that are just a must-see live. I’ve never been but I’ve seen on social media just how incredible it looks to go to one of their live concerts. I know it would be an amazing experience and coldplay songs are just classics aren’t they?! I’d be belting out the lyrics to songs like fix you and clocks, a couple of my long-time faves.
Corella
Corella are pretty much my favourite indie band and have been for a while now. I randomly discovered them one day through Spotify and I have been obsessed ever since. My ringtone is ‘Come Around’ and has been for about two years or more, such a good song. They brought out their first album this year, it’s called ‘Once Upon A Weekend’ and I highly recommend giving it a listen. I’ve not come across one song I haven’t liked. I really must see these guys live soon!
The Snuts
The Snuts are such a good band with loads of feel-good songs that you can just sing and dance to all night long. I’d love to see them at a live gig as I think their songs are great and I just know it would be a fab night out. ‘Gloria’ and ‘Seasons’ are a couple of my favourites, but every song on their new album Millennials is so good. I’ll definitely have to see these within the next year.
Florence + The Machine
Florence + The Machine are a band I’ve had on my playlist for years and years, but you’ll always find one of their songs on anything new I make. So many classics, and Florence’s voice is just out of this world, I know these guys would be incredible to see live.
Is there anyone in particular you’d really love to see live?
