Find out about the four Cult Beauty picks I’ve been loving lately…
Cult Beauty is one of my go-to stops when I’m feeling some new beauty buys and lately there’s four things from the well known makeup destination that I’ve been loving and want to share with you all. They’ve all become firm staples in my beauty collection and I have been using them so much lately and I’m going to tell you allllllll about why…
This duo is classed as two items in this post – firstly, because you can buy them separately (you just save money if you want both and buy the duo) and secondly, because I like each of them for different reasons. My favourite out of the two is by far the body drops, and this is because I tan my body far more than my face. I already have a favourite tan in the St Moriz mousse but the tan luxe drops have become a very close second. The reason for this is how easy they are to use, whilst they don’t last as long as my mousse, they are so much easier to apply which makes the fact that you might have to top up throughout the week no problem at all. Instead of having to moisturise, apply tan with gloves, wear old clothes, watch my sheets don’t get stained and wash it off in the morning, all you do with the tan luxe drops is simply mix them with your daily moisturiser and apply it. No gloves, no washing, none of the usual – see how amazing they are?! I get no streaks with them, nor do I ever get patchiness or anything like that. The tan looks so natural but gives me the amount of colour that I need to take the paleness away and the drops are just perfect for when I’m feeling lazy or I’ve got a busy week ahead. I also suffer with quite dry skin and having a tan that mixes with my moisturiser is also a great way to avoid the tan clinging to any dryness and leaving me with dark patches. It’s been a saviour over the past few weeks whilst I’ve had a breakout of eczema but haven’t wanted to look like a ghost! The face drops are just as good as the body, except I don’t tend to use them as much just because they don’t last two minutes with me cleansing twice a day. Having said that, when I want to have a break from makeup but I don’t want a white face and tanned neck, they come in so useful and it means I don’t feel the need to wear concealer/foundation just to cover up my paleness and make my face blend in with the rest of my body. They’re going to be a god send during summer when it’s too hot to wear makeup as I don’t tan naturally so at least I can fake it!
Ever since I got this blush I’ve been using it almost every day, it’s the most gorgeous peachy pink infused with delicate golden flecks. It arrives covered in a beautiful golden sheen that I didn’t manage to photograph as I was too eager to swatch it and try it out but believe me it looks so stunning. It’s a very subtle blush which is ideal for me as I hate going without a bit of blush but I don’t like anything bold or too much. It’s buildable if you want a little more than just a sheen, but it’s so natural looking and compliments my complexion perfectly, with and without a tan. It’s so easy for everyday wear and is the perfect spring addition to a makeup collection.
Too Faced Natural Eyes Palette
My final pick is the natural eyes palette from too faced, and I mean can we just talk about how pretty it is?! I lusted over this palette for so long that now I’ve got it, I can’t put it down. It’s such a perfect palette for everyday wear and allows me to continuously wear gorgeous shimmery shades (my faves) without looking over the top or too glittery. I would say it’s quite a warm toned palette, however a couple of the shades are a bit cooler which is nice to give you that balance. I’ve swatched my three favourite shades from the palette which are Cashmere Bunny, Honey Pot & Push-Up. Push-Up is my favourite in the whole palette, I wear it all over my lid constantly, it’s such a beautiful shimmer! I know this palette is already quite popular but if you don’t have it, I really recommend it for a pretty and versatile everyday eyeshadow palette. It will be fab for travelling with too as the packaging is so sturdy and it’s quite small. I think I’ll have to take this away with me as you can most definitely create both day and night looks with it due to it having a lovely mix of lights and darks!
